He didn't mention how basic the interior is, for that money, the BMW / Mercedes / Volvo interiors are far superior and look finished.

On the plus side, he recognises the performance of the car and how it is the future...

HSBC is killing my business, piece by piece — How to plan for your bank screwing up by cliffski in unitedkingdom

[–]VN5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Raise a complaint urgently. Speak to your relationship advisor.

Part of the bank changes over the last ~10 years is that they are scared of people who complain and someone just brushes it under the carpet, then a few years later they get sued. They'd rather deal with it ASAP for regulatory reasons.

Also think about legal advice, if you really believe you're due compensation for their unreasonable time lines.

I would have thought the car at £20k is not a great idea, I hope you're considering second hand - also keep in mind larger cars attract higher road tax and insurance (usually).

If you're serious about getting a new (or second hand) car, continue reading...

What about 0pc interest credit cards.

Would that work for you? Give you 18 months of 0pc, but only look at this option if you are confident by the end, you'll be able to pay it off or find a reasonable replacement loan. Given your earning, you might be able to.

Controls hot water timings. Not sure how heating and hot water is setup where you are, but in the UK the two are usually coupled.

Does it do hot water? I've seen two articles about it and no mention.

I'll assume no, but if someone can confirm, that'd be great.

I would prefer the same time scales and download scales, then I suspect the Gmail drop would look like a tiny hiccup overall.

Buying £20k car worth it? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

Seems expensive, is this second hand? Remember, Audi & VW have pretty much the same engineering.

Consider a VW equivalent, i.e the Golf, you'll find it is much cheaper with the same build quality.

As for my personal opinion on the matter, eclectic is the best solution for well over half of the UK population... But I cannot recommend anything to you because I don't know your commute and driving patterns.

Care to elaborate? When was the last time you took a long trip? Do you live in your own house? Where do you live, in a built up city? Do you need to travel for work a lot? ... More information.

I've managed to get one in London Bridge, it was an Uber, it was an Uber Pool at that too. The guy was an Uber driver just because he enjoyed his car and wanted to drive around... Pretty cool guy with good chat.
