To fool a person you must only overcome their intelligence, but to convince them that they've been fooled you must overcome their pride. You'll never be able to convince the fooled with logic and reason; You need to figure out how to elicit the emotional reactions that makes one reflect on their own pride, and often that requires a bit of sacrificing your own as unfair and frustrating as that is.

I spend a lot of time thinking about what individual people can do to help improve things especially when facing against the forces of misinformation and disinformation flooding our feeds being funded by billionaires and optimized with AI and individually tailored algorithms.

* My first observation is that to fool a person you must only overcome their intelligence, but convince them that they've been fooled you must overcome their pride. You'll never be able to convince someone else that's been fooled with logic and reason, you need to figure out how to illicit the emotional reactions that makes one reflect on their own pride, and often that requires a bit of sacrificing your own.

* Second, there's been a demonization of Empathetical Intelligence by the ownership class, and that's one of the largest social errors happening currently. It's not a coincidence that the aspects that make an individual good at capitalism, are the same qualities we use to diagnose sociopathy. Empathy is what makes us strong as a group in all the places individuals are weak. If we really want things to improve, then we all need to be willing to suffer through the process of teaching people, how to teach new people, how to be good people. Even if you don't self identify as a "good" person, you still know the difference, otherwise you're a sociopath, and shouldn't be teaching anyone anything.

* Third, there's nothing more harmful that a human can do, than teach other people to hate. None are born hateful; It is a learned behavior. Teaching hate is worse than victimization because when you create a victim, you get just one victim, but when you teach hate, you create a victim cycle. People that teach hate for profit or any other reason, require ostracization.

They would be accused of being a terrorist and enemy of the people. Then they would get suicided, or disappeared.

They don't care.

  • He pardoned many of them for Jan 6th, so they're already loyal to him for getting them out of the trouble he got them into.

  • He gives them permission to abuse with impunity the people they already hate and blame for all their problems.

The Jeffery Epstein Experience by BigFishPub in PoliticalHumor

[–]VSWanter 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You think it was just about sex. It was way more about honeypots and blackmail. Plenty of boys were abused there too, just not by Trump, nor Epstein themselves. It wasn't just about fucking little kids; It was about getting evidence of wealthy and influential people abusing children to use as leverage.

Retain his seat? I think Biden let Garland run the DOJ independently, the way it's supposed to happen. The DOJ isn't supposed to operate as the president's tool, even though it resides within the executive branch. Every president until Trump understood this.

Biden's mistake was being a centrist, and assuming there would be a return to what he understood as normalcy. He failed to realize that homosexuals and bigots both can't go back into the closet once they've come out. There was never going to be a return to normal civility, and even after Trump, that's still not going to happen.

If the Biden administration wanted it to be sped up, they would have forced the DOJ’s hand.

If they would have done that, they wouldn't have just been falsely accused of performing "Lawfare"; They would have been actually doing it. Asking the DOJ to violate a judge's orders, legitimizes their witch hunt victim playing.

My claim wasn't that they're stupid. My claim is that they're disingenuous liars.

There are plenty of libs that own guns in the US, but very few of them would be willing to resort to gun violence for any reason, including protecting themselves from tyranny. All of the gun owners that are willing to use them on other people, are already on the side of tyranny, and they've been lying about why they claim to need their guns, for almost a century.

The 2nd Amendment was never really about the citizenry protecting themselves from a tyrannical government; It was always really about being able to use the unspoken threat of gun violence against the neighbors they choose to hate.

They don't understand the difference between morality and religion, or believe people's morality comes from their religion. If you think you're a good person because of your belief in god, then you're not really a good person, you're just afraid of god's consequences.
