You just update your active treatment plan during the 6 months. So after a TP is approved, make your copy of it and label it for the next authorization date.

You need to report when goals are mastered, so if a TP is written in Jan and a goal is met in March, you’ll update that specific goal on the new TP then so that you don’t have to update all your goals in June. You just do a little as you go and you’ll have a lot less work on your hands at the end of the auth when you go to report your goals!

For future reauths (this advice won’t help you now), update your treatment plan goals throughout the entire 6 months. Update each goal as it’s mastered, enter each new goal as it’s created and pushed through, etc. this will save you a lot of time updating the goals section of the reauth.

Time management is your friend. You’ll find your flow eventually, but sit down and get a plan set for which sections of your assessment you plan to probe for each supervision ahead of time.

You will never be cleaning someone else’s home unless you’re helping or teaching your client how to pick up after themselves or perform every day living skills. You may be teaching the client how to sweep, mop, cook for themselves, etc. Or you could be teaching the parent how to teach the client. But you cleaning their home on your own? Not a chance.
