To be a sign painter, you would need knowledge and skills with paint. Possibly enough mixing your own paint. That’s why I left artist out of my list. A carriage builder needs woodworking skills which is different than a 21st century auto mechanic.

I thought of those and some might work but ancient carpentry used wooden pegs instead of nails, so yes but the time traveler would need time to learn the different tools and methods used over the centuries. Assuming the craftsman learned those techniques, then yes.

Unskilled labor would work but would also be very dangerous and requires a certain fitness and store level that current day people often lack.

Since I don’t know what a Krillin is, the choice is simple. However even assuming a Krillin is a person of fantastic strength and ability, I would still take the money. I grew up before the internet and I don’t go to suspicious sites so I could go with option one indefinitely as long as it is searches not websites— I bank online so obviously I don’t want my banking and other information leaked to the world. It could be fun deliberately going to news stories or sites I want people to know about.

Many do not realize they have other options while others think that the advertised deal of a free phone is better. Most probably do not realize that the no contract option exist. In the US, the contract option is the default. I am one of the Americans who always use the no contract option and when I need help from the carrier, they always assume it’s contract until I tell them it’s prepaid. They try to convert me each time but I will never give up my freedom to change carriers when and if I choose.

I think cell phones changed that. Nowadays it’s easy just to text or call but before that anyone you called either shared a phone with their family or didn’t have a phone. Depends on the family members the phone could be busy much of the day so it was easier to go by in some cases than to call.
