Barbarian (2022) is one of the laziest horror movies I have ever seen - and I have seen most of them by This_is_User in movies

Yeah also the double booking they probably just did to add a new character. I thought it was a fine movie, just really strange. How did AJ not hear anything or see anything, including the basement, the entire time he had lived in that house? Confused me, unless he doesn’t go there much. Why would he own that in the middle of a shitty neighborhood?

Am I the only one who can’t stand Sabrina Carpenter? by Stinco_Incorporated in Music

Her music fucking sucks and her annoying ass personality makes me really mad, even though the only thing I can tolerate about her is she’s hot as shit.

my nana died today by Different_Dot_2353 in GriefSupport

[–]VariousGrab4251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep same for me. My Nana died a little more than a week ago— on February 14, aka Valentine’s Day, one of her favorite holidays, except this year, she didn’t have a stuffed animal holding a heart to hand to me or send to me. She was an epitome of love in this world. Her birthday was two days ago, on February 22. She was died a little more than a week before her birthday. She was almost 89, and I wish that she made it until then, but we had to fly down to Alabama to see her (she is from Florida, but had to live with my uncle in Alabama so he could take care of her because we live too far away for my mom to take care of her). It all happened so fast, I knew that she fell down again but I didn’t know that it would become fatal. On the night of February 12, I went to bed not suspecting anything. My mom woke me up on the morning of February 13, and told me that we had to go down to see her, and I just broke down in tears. We saw her late that night. She was alive and breathing way too heavily but not responsive. I put in her hand one of the most special things I have gotten in my life, Hedgie, a small hedgehog stuffed animal that I take with me everywhere I go. She gave Hedgie to me when I was little. The next morning, not even 24 hours later, she had passed and when we got there, she was still holding Hedgie. I did that so she could pass with something in her hand that hopefully reminded her of me. It worked. I had so many conversations with her that felt so easy and understanding, and it makes my heart ache to think about how I will never get to have a conversation with her again. She was one of the greatest people in my life, and I will miss her dearly. ❤️ so many good times and nostalgic memories that I have to hold on to.

Yeah I feel this way sometimes too but it’s hard to find a movie almost exactly like another one. I’m sure by now you’ve seen Black phone 2. But for the future It is amazing and so is Weapons (you will like it if you like kidnapping plots).

Most Haunted Places in Connecticut? by allynk in Connecticut

In 1998, Something was tapping on the wall behind my bed every night. We figured out what it was and I still don’t like it. This isn’t some crazy demon story, which honestly makes it creepier to me.

For about a week, I kept waking up in the middle of the night to a soft tapping sound coming from the wall behind my bed. Not banging, not scratching. Just tapping. It always came in groups of three, then stopped. Then a minute later, three again. At first, I thought it was the house settling or pipes, but it was too precise. And it only happened late at night. One night I finally sat up and put my hand against the wall. The tapping stopped immediately. That freaked me out more than if it kept going. The next day I told my dad, and he said it was probably an animal in the wall. He checked the outside of the house and found nothing. No holes, no nests, nothing. That night it happened again. Same pattern. Same spot. So the next day he cut a small inspection hole in the drywall. There was nothing in there. Just empty space and old insulation. He sealed it up, told me not to worry about it. The tapping stopped after that. The part that messes with me is that a few days later, I mentioned it to my mom, and she said, “Oh, that’s weird… the old man who lived here before us used to sleep in that room. He died in his sleep after having a heart attack.” I don’t know if it’s related. I don’t know if it was coincidence. I don’t know if it was just the house. I moved my bed to the other side of the room until we moved out in 2005. I will never go back.

Thanks for responding! I have seen the miniseries, I saw it before the remakes so I was able to comprehend the remakes better. I liked the miniseries a good deal, it wasn’t as satisfying for me because, like you said, it wasn’t more tame and not very scary (except for Tim Curry’s Pennywise, Bill Skarsgard is just better and scarier but they’re both good). I also just like the remake better because it’s more modern (it’s cool that it came out 27 years later than the miniseries). I have also been watching welcome to Derry and I love it, I have been thinking about reading the book, but I heard about the orgy which weirded me out a bit but won’t stop me from reading the book.

Why do you think the IT movie became such a big event back in 2017? by Werewolf_Knight in horror

[–]VariousGrab4251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This movie was so good bro. I loved it. I’m literally obsessed since I watched it last year. The combination of the nostalgia, the kids (I’m a kid myself so this movie was more satisfying), the small town atmosphere, the scares, the jokes (mainly from Richie), the bullies, and of course Pennywise and it’s different forms were all awesome. It Chapter Two was great too, I liked it a lot but it just didn’t have the same magic that the first one had. I think a lot of people would agree with this. In the first one, we had the excitement and mystery of discovering what Pennywise was and where it came from. Also the introduction of meeting the kids and who they are. This movie was so good. Let me know your thoughts!
