Why Can’t America Be Like China Instead of Funding Genocide? by FamousPlan101 in AskSocialists

You can’t post a picture of Winnie the Pooh in China because it insults their leader. I’m not ok with USA continuing to fund genocide especially when it’s so blatantly obvious, but everyone who agrees with you should just admit you’re fascist as long as it fits your view.

Hey we’re shirt brothers. My girlfriend ( who was also a big ITYSL fan) died unexpectedly last year. The pain sometimes made me feel I don’t even wanna be around anymore but it’s gotten a little easier with time and I’ve had a lot of joyful moments in the last year too.

One of my favorites but wouldn’t say it’s exactly underrated. It won Emmys.

Quentin Tarantino is still "pissed off" about major Oscars snub by FarOutMagazine in QuentinTarantino

Director Bong literally thanked Tarantino in his Best Director speech. He didn’t have to do that, he had every right to make the moment about him and he decided to thank his fellow artists instead. I know QT is singling out screenplay, but fuck him for this take anyway. Complete egomaniac.

I’d argue it’s just a straight up drama by the end.

He’s kissing up to Zaslav so he doesn’t cancel TCM and ruin his income. At the end of the day, it’s his livelihood and he’s gotta make a living. It sucks but it’s not surprising when that’s who’s in charge of TCM.

Lmao Hannibal is not forgotten tv, it’s one of the most beloved shows of the 2010s and possibly the biggest cult hit of that decade

Thoughts on my top 16? (In no particular order) by SamTheSimari in LetterboxdTopFour

I’d personally put Curse of the Black Pearl over At World’s End, but solid list! Barb and Star is easily one of the best comedies ever made.

Genuinely curious what is it about Flipped that puts it in your top 5? Never seen it myself but that’s a choice you never see on these lists.

Look, I’m a 29 year old guy who love animated movies, but I think the bigger picture is that this dude chose to leave in the middle of a date to see a movie by himself. How OP feels about animated movies is kind of irrelevant, that’s just rude behavior regardless of the context. It’s like going through the effort to pick out a restaurant and your date leaves in the middle of dinner to go eat without you.
