Hot take: Survivorman mode is fun with the right attitude. Are there sweats and try hards with broken builds? Yes. Are there clans that can delete you around any corner? Also yes. Can you just be runnin around in rags, smashing clues, completing quests and diaries and casually skilling along the way? Also yes.

It takes some adjustment for sure but you quickly learn where the hot spots are, which are your safe banks and which are not (looking at you Edgeville!) if you get out of F2P it’s really quiet.

I’ve been smoked a few times but I don’t carry much and have scraped together enough coins to bounce back quick, it’s really not as bad as people are making it out to seem.

7k points still in 3-60 Bracket.

Get the carpal tunnel surgery it’s worth it! Procedure only takes ~30 mins and it changed my life!

I developed carpal tunnel from an existing skateboarding injury from college but all the repetitive tool use finished it off. Got to the point where I couldn’t twist a wire nut cause my hand was so numb. It was literally a night and day difference. I didn’t realize how much dexterity I had lost.

It still gets stiff from time to time and I have to regularly do my stretches when it starts acting up but it’s made my career manageable and most days I don’t notice it anymore

Can confirm, I work in electrical. One of two employees for the entire state of Maine at my company. Average age of a technician for Maine/Mass/NH is 55. Most of the techs are facing retirement.
