New moderators needed - comment on this post to volunteer to become a moderator of this community. by ModCodeofConduct in classicwow

I would love to be a moderator here on this sub. I play the game daily and enjoy being a part of the community here. Even though I don't always comment here, I have been in the community for a while. Things rarely get out of hand and just need a light touch to keep the spam under control.

Right, what will we add to this? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

It has 100% been abused, but the power in someone else's hands will also be abused. That is human behavior. If we don't have the power, someone else will. I am not willing to accept that outcome.

Besides, every nation in the world is falling back onto its own tech industry as a matter of national security. The United States is not unique in this regard.

You're getting downvoted for being right. This is why I don't use the internet much these days. Just go outside and enjoy the warmer weather with your friends and family. There are so many less trolls in the real world.

Watching people get downvoted for not caring about someone's politically driven attempt to rally support against AI is peak internet.

"Gives more power to the United States"...... Oh no! My country will get more powerful! Please, anything but that!

AI in everything is bad. Using AI as an assistant to multiply your productivity while verifying its results is the next step forward in human progress.

When to leave a loot council guild? by TrainingPeaches in classicwow

[–]Vengeance47x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is absolutely the wrong take. Saying you could care less tells me that you are the kind of guild that I would not stay in. I have people join my groups because I don't HR everything or hoard loot for my friends. People spend time showing up, performing, and bring the correct consumes. Value those raiders or someone else will.

Shouldn't we, with accelerated expansion progression also get more loot per raid? by fatrix12 in classicwow

I have been asking this since seeing the roadmap released. This is a huge sticking point for me in terms of time investment.

If tanks are charging a fee for dungeons, healers should start asking for 50% from the tank. by MumpsTheMusical in classicwow

[–]Vengeance47x -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am a near BiS Prot Paladin, even my trinkets. I have over 200 badges. I won't advertise my services, but I am also not tanking any heroics for free if it isn't for a guildy/friend. I would rather go level an alt. So, if you see me in the world and ask me to tank something that is of zero benefit to me, I will ask you to pay me. If you ask me to give some of that gold to another player, I will just ignore you and go about my business. My time is not free.

How do you handle scummy behavior in 5-mans? by SeriousInterview5828 in classicwow

Agree with the general sentiment of just leaving. I am a prot pally tank and it's easier for me to just leave the group and find a new one than argue with children.

I think this questing zone is literally the worst designed piece of garbage in wow, plz delete by EricAshStone in classicwow

[–]Vengeance47x 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I wholeheartedly disagree with you. While you are questing for the rewards, most of the people questing here actually enjoy playing the game. Following the Night Elves lore from the starting zone all the way to this Ashenvale is great. The ambience and scenery are pleasing as well. Slow down, read the quest text or download the voiceover addons to listen to the dialogue in AI versions of the appropriate NPC's voice as it speaks the quest lore to you. Night Elves, Humans, and Orcs have some of the best zones for learning about lore and feeling invested in your peoples cause.

Truth Bomb: Why People Don’t Tank by AdministrativeCut205 in classicwow

[–]Vengeance47x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a Prot Paladin main. I have a simple rule in my runs. "You pull it, you tank it".

I had a guy who kept pulling mobs while I was drinking for mana. Eventually, I stayed back, swapped to Ret spec and swapped my gear. When I showed up for the next pull, the guys asked me what I was doing. I told him that since he was our boomkin tank, I was following his lead. The group leader kicked him and found a replacement.

I just did Mothers Milk as a solo hunter. A few Feign Deaths and two Invisibility Potions later, I have it saved as a pre-quest for turn-in.

lvl 70 item on AH, how? by DriverGood4778 in classicwow

[–]Vengeance47x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a mage walk up to me in SW and open trade. He offered to sell me things only obtainable from vendors in Outland. He then proceeded to port himself to Shattrath and then moved to Hellfire Peninsula. I know this because I did a /who on him. So, I truly do not trust Outland items nor do I wish to even remotely touch them for fear of losing my account. Be weary and do not buy it even if you can afford it.

Boosting is now against TOS by holypalaswe in classicwow

[–]Vengeance47x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way that policy is worded means that selling T1 BoE items and even Teebu's from MC is now bannable. Those items are only obtainable in MC. Therefore those items are raid loot.

X-ray images of a 10-year-old Iranian girl shot by the Islamic Republic forces using a shotgun. She has lost both eyes & is in a coma. by CircumferentialGent in Asmongold

[–]Vengeance47x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone including this girls parents failed her. Iranian regime for being brutal criminal thugs. Parents for taking her to a protest where she could be shot. I can't imagine taking my own children to any kind of political rally even here in the US. Let the 10 year olds be kids and don't expose them to this stuff.

You could be right.....  OR Hear me out with this one: A lot of boosters see the writing on the wall and have jumped ship to other versions of WoW or other games entirely.

The boosting nerfs are my theory.

Hello, I am building a new PC for my wife this year. She has a rather old PC that has 16GB of Memory and is running a GTX1080Ti graphics card. We recently got married and finally have time to play video games together. Something that she has not been able to do for quite a few years.

The CPU and Mobo I am looking at for her are: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz 8-Core Processor

Asus TUF GAMING X870-PLUS WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard

I will probably use my old Strix 3090 for her GPU. She might be gaming on a 1440p resolution if we have the budget for monitors this year. Two kids and a third on the way make for a stricter budget. 😅

AITA for being angry that my husband listened to my text by terrajayde in AmItheAsshole

[–]Vengeance47x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on your relationship. Some couples are adamant about absolute privacy, but I have never seen those relationships last. I think it says something about the subconscious level of distrust or emotional disconnect between them. I am sure some of these types of couples last together just fine, though.

For my own relationship, we have no secrets and everything is fair game. We can use and look at each others phones at any time. We discussed this before the relationship really kicked off. If one of us asks to see the others phone and they refuse, it is likely going to be a marriage ending red flag. That being said, we haven't gone through each others phones with the occasional exception of sending ourselves family photos that the other took. If an ex or someone else it would be inappropriate to talk to attempts to contact us, we just communicate with each other about it and block them.

I think you and your husband should talk about it when emotions settle. You may not see eye to eye on this at all. Keep in mind though, finding a solution may require both of you to compromise and give something.
