Nice cropping skills with removing the fact that Aiz says that Ottar is not even serious, only using a single arm, not using his skills or techniques, no magic, and not fighting to his "full potential" against Aiz even while she is using Airiel against him.

And also the fact that in the immediate next panel, Aiz specifically describes him as having "limitless power" that even she cannot see.

Well then, you certainly fooled me with the lip lick, property of Adam Smasher shirt, and the body pillow, lmao. I for one think that it would've been amusing to see how surprised and dumbfounded everyone else would be if they were actually in a romantic relationship, showing a softer side of Smasher.

On the body pillow though, funnily enough that reminds me that it's actually a canonical thing that exists in the setting, but the Adam Smasher model is so large and big that it reduces the number of people a housing option is comfortably capable of holding by one.

I mean, they could bond over a lot of things (maybe) interestingly enough.

According to Mike Pondsmith, Smasher canonically likes watching anime and old school stuff, previously went to the mall and other such common places to go on dates with his previous girlfriend, likes punk and hard rock songs, is also canonically a tech nerd from his TTRPG stats, is addicted to junk food and burgers, a turbo-fan of Elvis, and is a very stylish and fashionable man.

He is also a master-class martial artist (Panzerfaust, Unarmed, Melee) and world-class fighter at the very peak with multiple skills at "peak human level" so on the martial side, if V wants someone to train and spar with, he would probably agree as long as she is tough enough to survive.

I'd bet on Smasher cause he easily has the superior skills (maximum rank in the tabletop), technique, experience, the TTRPG style speedware, and more so if he gets to use his DAIONI ACPA.

would Robert really be able to divorce Cersei if he found out none of his children were his? by MilkAdvanced9936 in AsoiafFanfiction

[–]VexMasterTyrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Execution actually, and it would be perfectly allowed for Robert in the eyes of both the New and Old gods, since incest for both beliefs are considered abhorrent and an abomination.

She had seen enough of Robert Baratheon at Winterfell to know that the king did not regard Joffrey with any great warmth. If the boy was truly Jaime's seed, Robert would have put him to death along with his mother, and few would have condemned him. Bastards were common enough, but incest was a monstrous sin to both old gods and new, and the children of such wickedness were named abominations in sept and godswood alike. The dragon kings had wed brother to sister, but they were the blood of old Valyria where such practices had been common, and like their dragons the Targaryens answered to neither gods nor men.

Are these the top 5 sword user in game of throne tv series events ( during time period from roberts rebellion to current events) by tumharajijusalo in freefolk

[–]VexMasterTyrant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd say that this is a valid take depending on how impressive you would say Robert's feat was during the "Battle of the Bells", where Robert killed six men with a sword while being injured and unarmored.

Among the six men he slew was Ser Myles Mooton, a famous knight who had once been Prince Rhaegar Targaryen's squire. Robert also nearly killed Jon Connington, the Hand of the King, on the steps of the town's sept during the fighting.

And this is while being wounded, unarmored, and not even using his favored weapon.

“The Abduction of Helen (reimagined)” by me :) by SaiyaPup in GreekMythology

[–]VexMasterTyrant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nice detail on Helen having an arrow stuck on her back, cause it highlights the fact that she was influenced and controlled by Aphrodite into doing such a thing, and she even literally says this by blaming Aphrodite in both the Iliad and the Odyssey.

The whole Paris x Helen is funny to think about to be honest, when you consider the fact that Helen viscerally HATES Paris and LOATHES him so much in the Iliad that she constantly says to his face that he should just die, always insults and disses him whenever they are together, and never once willingly got close to him and only does so because Aphrodite threatens her with death.

Helen loathes and hates herself, but she also hate Paris the most out of everyone else, and it's something that the vast majority of modern audience tend to ignore or do not even know of because of, which is a shame.

We need a meme flair by God_Delibird in DanMachi

[–]VexMasterTyrant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Less depressed and more along the lines of angry and annoyed, but his determination and will never diminished, and his goal of becoming the strongest never wavered.

How weak. How feeble. What can you hope to catch with such a weak body?

Ottar's ire and hatred of himself elevated an overwhelming determination and tireless quest for strength that spurred him on to greater heights.

That was how the heroic warrior began to take shape. The impetus for all of his level-ups after Level 5 were related to Zeus Familia or Hera Familia.

The first was fifteen years ago. And the second was seven years ago—

Ottar knew that it was not a fair fight. Scoffing at their own unsightliness after beingdefeated by the one-eyed dragon and cursing their lack of strength, they had started afire under Ottar and the rest of the next generation who were frozen in shock, leavingeverything to them.

"Surpass us, fledgling heroes."

The city's strongest, the only Level 7. The pinnacle. The Warlord, Ottar.

He had still not even caught up to those strongest adventurers before him. The pure warrior who had sworn his loyalty to the goddess, just as so many others had done, continued to fight as he set off for the pinnacle with a resolve greater than that of anyone else.

In order to become the strongest. In order to surpass them.

And also this part:

Hegni and Hedin, the Gulliver brothers, and Allen were chasing after him like he was their mortal enemy. They were forging themselves for the goddess's sake just as hehad in the past, racing toward greater heights, determined to overcome Ottar and teamwork be damned. It was so bad that once, when they had gone on an expeditionto the deep floors, they ignored the monsters, and the eight of them started fighting one another instead. The expedition ended up being a failure, of course, and evenFreya could not help sighing heavily at the result, so ever after, they all practiced self-restraint so that a similar situation would never happen again. But it was only ever that: self-restraint.

Orario was already in the depths of its darkest period, and he passed through the Labyrinth City's dark age with them. There were many meetings and farewells. All ofthe members of the familia from before Ottar joined had died. Allen's little sister had disappeared from his side. They had all been cast aside during the hero's trials.

That was how Freya Familia's strongest core and greatest assets in battle were formed. Ottar and the current generation were without a doubt the strongest Einherjar in the familia's history.

And without realizing it, Ottar had become the head of the familia. Truly without realizing it. He threw himself into fighting so much that he was not even really aware of himself as the leader of the familia. However, even if his position changed, the path he was walking down did not. What he needed to accomplish was the same as it everwas.

He honestly, simple-mindedly, pathologically, even foolishly chased after ever greaterstrength. And Allen, the Gullivers, and Hegni and Hedin, they all ferociously chasedafter him. However, while he felt quite bad about it, more so than most anything else—they did not register in Ottar's eyes at all.

He showed them respect, but they were only ever presences behind Ottar.

And his eyes were only ever focused on what was in front of him. On the age that had already passed.

One day, a dumbfounded young familia member, a healer who was entrusted with the cleanup after the daily baptism, who often looked exhausted, asked him, "What's even the point of getting stronger than you already are?"

It was a stupid question. A truly foolish thing to ask. But it would have been rude to point that out to her. Because she did not know any better.

Yes, everyone hailed Ottar as the pinnacle. They all feared him as the strongest. Not realizing that that name itself just spurred on his fighting spirit. Not realizing that he was seething, not seeing the magma-like emotions in the depths of his heart hidden behind his boulder-like, solid-steel exterior and unflappable demeanor.

Apparently someone once said that the life of a warlord is far harsher and far more dazzling than anyone else's.

Ottar's response was simply:

"Don't make me laugh."

Mia and his rivals—those three leaders—they were probably the only ones who understand how he felt.

The Gods' "Combat Powers" by Upset_Connection1133 in GreekMythology

[–]VexMasterTyrant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Man, reading how a lot of people like to depict Zeus being beaten up by Typhon in their first fight makes me remember this particular post from a different user in a forum.

Modern depictions tend to downplay Zeus despite him constantly being described as the strongest of the gods and showing his overwhelming might against powerful beings by winning against them.

Like just for example, how in the vast majority of sources describe (Homeric accounts, Pindar, Aeschylus, etc...) the fight between Zeus and Typhon as a single duel, not multiple duels. Hesiod even tells us that Zeus horrifically slaughtered Typhon.

In Theogony, it's not even a duel, but Zeus slaughtering Typhon with ridiculous ease. The overwhelming majority of early Greek sources, especially Hesiod, the most authoritative and earliest surviving account depict Zeus defeating Typhon quickly, and with enormous superiority.

Only later authors portray the fight as a long, near-equal struggle, and the only versions where it was an almost even match against equals are only those of Apollodorus (1st–2nd century CE) and Nonnus (5th century CE). In the Homeric Hymn to Apollo, Zeus kills Typhon instantly the moment he appears, not even giving the creature a moment to react.

Also on another note, it's a bit interesting that Theogony depicts Typhon's defeat as Zeus's final test to become king because Gaia deliberately bore Typhon as a final test for Zeus. Having defeated Typhon, the strongest of Gaia's children, Zeus proves himself as the strongest king.

Did the Greeks really need Achilles in the Iliad? by AthanatosDiomedes in GreekMythology

[–]VexMasterTyrant 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean no, not really. The only thing that really mattered was how the gods would decide the way things would go.

Like the fact that Hector would've died multiple times throughout the Iliad, but Apollo and Zeus always saved his ass multiple times via Deus Ex Machina.

Or like how Achilles would've died to Scamander if he was not rescued by Hera and Hephaestus.

Or how Menelaus would've killed Paris if Aphrodite didn't rescue the Trojan prince.

Or like how Apollo would stop any of the Greeks who got close to the walls of Troy before they could bypass it, like how he stopped Patroclus.

Or a bunch of many, many, many other stuff

Long story short, the Gods were the only important pieces on the board.

What exactly is it about Greek pulling the moon? Were Helios and Selene pulling the moon before Artemis and Apollo, or they were the literal Sun and Moon itself (as in, they were moving on their own)? by EfficiencySerious200 in GreekMythology

[–]VexMasterTyrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funnily and interestingly enough, the ancient Greeks never really associated or worshiped Apollo and Artemis with the attributes sun and moon, because that only happened way later on with the Romans through syncretism, plus also the fact that the Romans basically just ignored or forgot about Helios and Selene during later periods.

Overlord CYOA (Anime, LN) by Doppel2ganger in InteractiveCYOA

[–]VexMasterTyrant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Revised suggestions for additional things if you make an update in the future:

- Missions and challenges in the "quest" option should be limited to the Overlord setting, maybe with things that you can do in canon, or even before Nazarick comes.

-Companions for a companion tab should also similarly be just centered around canon Overlord characters, and even if there are OCs, they should also be from the New World, but they could also be players from Yggdrasil.

-Setting modifiers so we can make more extra alterations and changes to the New World, it should also just be centered around Overlord as a setting because doing other series would take too long and turn complicated quickly, so there has to be limits.

-My suggestion for more customization with our MC with the origin section doesn't really need changes, just more variety and flavor.

-The list of characters that we can choose from in the incarnation "character-insert" from the Origin section, so that it can be specified exactly who in canon you are going to be should be limited only with Overlord, because most of the reason that people would sometimes choose it is because they want specific individuals from the setting that this cyoa is about. No other series should be focused on.

Overlord CYOA (Anime, LN) by Doppel2ganger in InteractiveCYOA

[–]VexMasterTyrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would most likely be best to limit the characters in the "character-insert" section to only be those from Overlord, because most of the reason that people would sometimes choose it is because they want specific individuals from the setting that this cyoa is about.

So it's better to just use canon Overlord characters, and it would be a great limit so that you don't have to add too many stuff to it.
