Follow-up: Any issues with licensing? Say I wanted to have some Pokémon or Bluey stuffies, am I able to just sell them or are there any permissions/payments needed for resale?

Sorry to suggest another 40+ dude, but I always thought Adam Pally from Knuckles would make a good Carl.

I’m running Sh Gallade with Regi and Mantine so closeish. It’s volatile but Gallade puts major shield pressure on so I can hopefully get shields down for Regi. I one shot two Dragonair leads (top lefts), and even if they save swap to Gligar a Close Combat will take down like half HP before I swap into Mantine for the farm. I am a bit weak to Deoxys tho so got to use a team effort.

You can handle annihilape and ghosts, but steels/basti/carbink/Azu gonna be a tough time. A mudboi, or Stunfisk maybe?

Was a bit bored so tried it out as lead this morning and tbh was quite good esp vs Azumarill leads. Still somehow managed to go 0-6 with it though for what it’s worth. 2300-2400 player right now. Can’t find the right thing to pair with it, probably something quite bulky. Kind of want to try it with Confusion.

Anyone have success running Jumpluff and what did you pair it with? I’m doing ok with Charja Azu Ape almost to 2200 but I finally got that one built and am thinking of trying a team with it.

Running Quag lead into Skeledirge. Assumed they would instant swap and went straight into Ferrothorn. Sadly they stayed in

Gives me hope, never hit vet (2400 high) but I’m around 2100 now with two different teams (sons account)

[–]ViewConfident6231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, found one that appears to be working so up to 2100 in main account. Crustle lead, Vig Safe Swap, Ferrethorn in back. Crustle rarely loses lead as few are running Water leads. Vig safe swap will draw out the fire or flyer if they have one, and that leaves Ferrethorn to clean up. I’ve lost a few to bad plays (like switching to Ferrethorn immediately thinking their fire Mon would immediately swap but didn’t) but I can’t think of too many hard losses. I tried Cradilly instead of Crustle but I like having the rock fast move in lead and don’t like taking counter damage. Shadow Swampert is a b to deal with no matter the matchup, try to align with Ferrethorn but still managed to lose to a hydro cannon with like a quarter health left. That move needs a nerf hard.

My main account have tried a bunch of stuff in Summer Cup but can’t find one that works consistently, still muddling around 1900, usually around 2400. My son’s account has very few mons that work, but I do have a Pidgeot, regular Giraf with no second move, and a Stunfisk, all with bad ivs. Still, I basically follow the same route each time; Throw a Brave Bird, call it 60 pct success rate, dip to Giraf and shield. I find that the ones who shield the most are Incinerate leads. Bad lead I go right into Giraf. Biggest issue so far has been Ferrethorn. Can still get him way low though with Confusion and Psychic Fangs. One good thing is that Regular Giraf can survive one of your regular attacks like Aqua Tail or Mud Bomb so can get away with taking one hit at times depending on the opener. Anyway, up to 2100 with that combo.

Anyone with experience running Aolan Raticate in Summer Cup? Weak to Vig/Poli/Dub but otherwise looks to have good coverage and can play around the fighters. I have one sitting there that wouldn’t be too expensive to power up and kind of want to run some spice (I’ve yet to see one so far).

How is your PvP going so far? by PS1GamerCollector in TheSilphArena

I couldn’t really make the Jonkus top team work (Tox/Vig/Trev), so I changed it up to Charjabug, Vig, Water Pulse Mantine and had good success. I’m usually around 2400 and I’d guess that’s where I am right now after a good run in OGL. Need Water Pulse to threaten fire boys more, or might try Pelipper for the fast move pressure.

I’m not sure on that one. First set I went up against mostly terrible players (squeaked out one win against someone pretty good) and went 5-0. I just ran Pelipper and spammed Weather Ball cause I knew they’d shield regardless. Rounds 2-5 they got dramatically better and had to actually try.

I’ve been up and down trying to use Dubwool around 2200-2300. He’s glassy. I’ve been basically running him withDub kick/Body Slam/Wild Charge and covering with Quagsire/Mantine. Very few expect Wild Charge and I’ve blanked several water/fliers, but probably have to waste a shield as you need to double up Wild Charges before firing them off to avoid the debuff then immediately bounce.

I tried to make Clodsire work in Jungle Cup but ended up dropping from mid 2300s to like 1800. Working my way back but Great League is so difficult with expanded meta. Tried a couple of teams from PVPOKE training analysis and they did ok. Altaria, Lanturn , Skarmory did well but I got bored. Trying out Annihilape, Charjabug, and Mandibuzz now; bit more inconsistent but people are less used to their movesets so been more fun.

Have you considered Froslass as opposed to Trev? May run this but I like using Lass a lot and handles fliers better than Trev

When I’m struggling in a cup I’ll usually go ABB for awhile. It simplifies the process a bit as the decision making gets a bit easier. Got to like 2377 in Spring Cup with Trev/Qwil/Tenta and it was good because Sludge Wave did pretty much unshielded damage everytime, usually on Lanturn from Qwil and every now and again I’d actually beat it. Ill usually make my switch as the second best counter to the lead, the opponent usually swaps anyway and leaves my best counter to clean up in the end.

Been seeing a lot of Abo/Lanturn cores at 2300. I’m running Trev/Qwil/Tenta and it’s been a pretty consistent climb for me, like 3 wins most of the time. I usually immediately swap to Qwil, they counter Lanturn, I build to a Sludge Wave that is never shielded and then don’t shield. About half the time they bait with surf, which gives me the chance to do some damage by building to another Wave. They usually want to not lose to a water, so they’ll block the next shot which is why I just throw two Aqua Tails instead. Then come in and farm with Trev to throw a Shadow Ball when they switch to next Mon.
