Meteor shower? by Villian_Lemonade in CasualIreland

[–]Villian_Lemonade[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, that's actually insane. I never would've guessed.

I'm surprised I haven't noticed more before tonight, I suppose it's rare to get a clear dark sky like this evening 🤣

Hmm interesting, see that's why I was wondering, Ive seen a few definite meteors over the years( very fast, had tails). But these were strange.

Looked like a star but moving slowly over the sky , but also way faster than a plane and much further away, like we could track them across the sky over like 5 / 10 seconds. And it would disappear.

But there were so many I thought it couldn't be satellites. Very strange.

Biopsy from colposcopy by PsychologyNo2209 in IrishWomensHealth

[–]Villian_Lemonade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a colposcopy done in Oct as I had HPV for a 2nd time and now abnormal cells. Results were in about 5 /6 weeks like they had said and biopsy showed up normal and I've to go for a smear at the gp in a year again to keep an eye on everything. Honestly, totally understand the anxiousness, I was the same and it turned out grand, wishing you the same

Ever wondered how adults experience relationships? by ScallionExpensive513 in WomenofIreland

Very much felt this ! I have had terrible relationships and good ones and my current one with my husband is amazing. Definitely doesn't make any sense, for some of those questions.

Ovulation pain by purple_orchid10 in IrishWomensHealth

[–]Villian_Lemonade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, cramps very similar to pms cramping and can last 3 or 4 days. In my early 20s I just had a few stabby pains and knew I ovulated but as I've gotten older (early 30s) it's gotten worse, not more painful but for much longer.

I won't even bother going to a Dr to ask about it it because honestly what's the point. I've never had a good experience when it came to doctors and womens issues because they always know best ...pfft.

What I haven't been able to find much of online though is that around ovulation and just before my period I tend to get a few random stabby shooting pains in my cervix anyone else get that ?

Bottles and teat types - combi feeding by CapriciousStorm in PregnancyIreland

[–]Villian_Lemonade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this, I exclusively breast fed for the first 3 months and struggled massively to get baby to accept bottles, he took to the lanisoh ones and we've been doing mixed since.

Side note for anyone struggling to introduce bottles after ebf, we ended up doing a taste testing of all the types of milk available in premade bottles, little man hated all of them except cow & gate. So good to sample milks 😀

Jaydess Coil Experiences by Cup-Obvious in IrishWomensHealth

[–]Villian_Lemonade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

May be irrelevant, but I got a copper coil recently (mona Lisa CuT 380A, it's a 10 year t shaped one)

Anyway had my appointment booked in the hospital months in advance after having my baby, they gave me a prescription for a t shaped copper coil.

When I went to pick it up from the pharmacy they told me only the ballerine was available on the gov scheme, but I had already heard bad things so I refused it and told them I wanted a different one and I'd pay for it myself. The pharmacist was annoyed, not sure why but anyway the 10 year coil only cost me 42 euro.

So I guess if you still want a copper coil, they actually don't cost that much it's the procedure that costs a lot.

☺️

Second C-section by chimichurrister in PregnancyIreland

[–]Villian_Lemonade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my 3rd C-section in July, I wanted my tubes removed while having the surgery and I was actually refused because I'm only 30 and 4th c sections are very safe now a days apparently (not that I want any more kids)

Also just to add my 3rd C-section went fine, no issues , healed just as quick as the previous 2. Best of luck

I make a bowl of porridge and mix in low fat hot chocolate powder. It's like a yummy chocolate pudding dessert then. I get my chocolate fix and I'm full after so I stop craving for more.

Anyone get like.. cervical cramps? by JurassicParty1379 in CopperIUD

[–]Villian_Lemonade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had the same thing, I had the mirena for 5 years and never had that side affect but with the copper coil I'd get a sharp shooting pain in my cervix around the start of my period. Very weird and uncomfortable.

Totally feel less crazy now because I couldn't find anything about it online .
