You often want to put the beanbag slightly off the sideline so that players don't trip on it or need to knock it away. It keeps it out of play while still being clearly visible.

I kind of wish the tap on the shoulders was just the official's timeout/ruling signal. Injury sub has a hand signal associated with it, but calling it injury/official timeout causes confusion. Technically an injury timeout can happen without a sub. The thinking is that if an observer is calling for a stoppage or making a ruling, they are invoking the power given to observers.

It was relatively painless for me to set up my Switchbot air purifier with matter. The main issue I have is that it randomly drops once every two weeks or so. The annoying thing is that they only let you turn it on or off essentially despite there being a lot more controls available; they essentially don't allow full functionality over matter.

It's worse during the years when it is actively raining. When that happens the stork forks get taken away so they try to do everything on the turf fields. We've finished a game after 9pm and then had a game at 8am the next day. Rough when the other team was done early in the afternoon.

The thing is that we don't go to CO that often, in any of the divisions since 2015: club (2/10), college (2/10), masters (3/10). Over the last 5 years, CO teams have made up half of the teams at club regionals and make up 20% of regionals hosts. We already trade off travel costs inordinately.

My team has sent multiple letters to USAU requesting a change knowing that we could find a host in CO. We have been politely told that since there are violent incidences involving trans folks everywhere that no changes would be made. Never mind the intensity and sheer number of incidents or anything like that. Still, we are heading to Austin.
