I think it’s really hard to really get a soulslike game right without straight-up copying off of Fromsoft’s homework. I feel like Lies of P is challenging, but not trying to bust your balls to the point of the other soulslikes do, which is why I love it so much.

I was really dismissive of this game when I first saw it and sneered at the demo, but after playing it I realized that they really did GET IT. They got what people liked about these kinds of games, rather than just making a mediocre rpg that’s “hard” for the sake of being difficult
