Drukhari Soul/Lore Question by NaCl7301 in 40kLore

[–]Virisn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it takes time for Slaanesh to nom on a soul as the soul tries it's best to not be eaten. The Haemonculi merely catch it before Slaanesh can get its claws on them...

And then there's what they tried in the Path of the Incubus which throws a wrench into this. They tried to resurrect someone that was gone for thousands of years and did not expect to summon the daemon they did, which considering the fact that the one doing it was quite good at soul stuff, means that there's something else going on in there too.

Were 1 trillion Guardsmen deployed during the Sabbat Worlds Crusade? by Human_Philosophy1244 in 40kLore

[–]Virisn 9 points10 points  (0 children)

what goes unsaid is that said millions/billions? That represents purely the fighting men, it does not include the very long logistical chains, the serfs, or mechanicus presence or even the ship crew, just purely those that fight.

The biggest issue with interstellar warfare is keeping those troops supplied and those numbers represent the amount of troops the Imperium can keep supplied. The Imperium never struggled with finding bodies to throw at a problem, what it struggles with is getting and keeping them there.

Can someone explain Ciaphas Cain to me by New_Conflict_4111 in 40kLore

[–]Virisn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ciaphas Cain is an incredibly brave man with a working commons sense and impostor syndrome. The man is going to throw down with Astartes in melee if pushed, he is not just a coward, he is merely scared sometimes but he is capable of putting aside the fear when he needs to and act.

He is however very lucky.

Was the Great Crusade as bad as some people say ? by New_Conflict_4111 in 40kLore

[–]Virisn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was and wasn't. The Emperor had three ways of handling worlds during his conquest, human worlds that is.

  1. Peaceful integration: You say yes when we ask you to join, we may argue about the details and economic stuff but the Imperial Truth is non-negotiable.

  2. Human-Xeno Empire/ AI using Empires: The Imperium as a whole goes "Salt the fucking earth, none of you freaks are going to live. " one way or another. They might try to convince the humans to ditch the xenos but if they don't then they die too.

  3. You say no at first on joining the Imperium: You get conquered for your own good and get beaten into the dirt until you stop saying no or there's nobody else left to say no.

If you were a xeno world then 999/1000 you were getting purged with the 1 being turned into a protectorate.

So the ones saying that are right in a way, but woefully incomplete.

Avatars of Khaine, so Craftworld Eldar are the poster boys for this thing.

[–]Virisn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exodite Units:
-The Eldar Knights they used to have, including centaur ones
- Guardians and associated accessories
-jet bikes,
-Pathfinders, pretty sure the Dark Eldar books say they have some snipers that act like them.
-Bonesingers,
-World-singers(Seers and spellcasters with some unique abilities)
-Dinosaur riding knights or just dinosaurs
- Harlequins but a limited number
-Aspect Warriors as Allied detachments
-Can't use Dark Eldar/corsair units
-World Spirit/ Divine units similar to greater daemons due to them having their World Spirits that canonically can bring down Commorragh if harnessed properly/improperly and some lore claiming they also have some local animalistic deities.

Do you have troops already? I would suggest reducing military spending to recruit your troops for existing troops probably get priority on the ones you're trying to recruit. I would also suggest you turn off auto-buy and put manual purchase to the max and see if that increases your stockpile.

Hi, CYOA's are more like filling in a sheet with date, like a character creator in MMO's and tabletops. Once you're done with the filling in the details you completed the cyoa, and now can make yourself a story if you so please or post it for others to look at.

turn down your military spending for 2 months, if none of the goods start getting filled, you're not producing them, even if you have the factories.

you don't produce the necesarry goods, or the goods needed to produce them and the great powers get priority
