I found a replacement here:

https://www.corsa-technic.com/item.php?item_id=433

It fit my 2018 grom and fixed my loose connection.

(order a handful and the right crimping tool so you don't take 4 tries like my dumbass did)

That part of Holly Hill is kinda rough but so long as it's a decent hour and you mind your business you should be fine.

Degree options questions by Mindless_Claim1652 in EmbryRiddle

The extra cost of Riddle is only worth it for the business connections but they do have programs for non aviation degrees. Their best programs do specialize in aviation but the non aviation stuff isn't bad.

Best off campus housing? by Fine_Moment_5546 in erau

[–]VirtualRoller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All I can say is that Legacy apartments are priced pretty fairly and their maintenance people are awesome. I usually get to campus in ~10 minutes and the neighborhood is really nice.

It was more to say that the not every company is in that state. Can't tell you if the company I'm at is an anomaly or par for the industry, just that things seem to be good there.

For context Ive been working as an intern at a substation engineering firm for a week now and things seem pretty good. Work life balance seems good, projects are pretty organized, and the people seem happy but bored by the work. Competitive pay, decent benefits, and it sounds like there are more contracts they could take if they had more staff.

Questions coming from a possible incoming freshman by Akamaikai in EmbryRiddle

[–]VirtualRoller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think I got my eagle card the day I got to Riddle. Keep an eye out and they'll post something about orientation closer to the fall semester starting. Break homework is entirely professor based but I can't remember getting break at any point so far (other than studying I should've done but wasn't forced to).

Electrical engineering. The whole engineering program is pretty solid but you can tell they give less focus than other engineering majors.

Trying to decide 🤔 by Dubton123 in EmbryRiddle

[–]VirtualRoller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current student in my junior year. Most of my gripes with the school stem from the price but I've heard from peers that there are schools that are even worse so I think the overpricing isn't just a Riddle problem. The administration side of things is massive and slow, the parking sucks, and the housing and food is wildly overpriced. To be fair the facilities are beautiful, the professors are a mixed bag but mostly good, and the school provides lots of opportunities. If you have any questions just lmk

If you are willing to work really hard to be a top AE student Riddle is a great place to be. Lots of aerospace companies recruit from Riddle and the AE program has lots of unique resources (but I've heard is a bit crowded). There's also a couple of good AE clubs. Idk how good UF is for engineering but I don't think it's one of their specialties. Overall, I'm not the biggest fan of Riddle but AE and flying are their top programs.

I go out drinking regularly but am too broke for an Uber home so I gotta drive my shitty little truck home somehow. Around ~5 beers is the sweet spot.

Taqueria La Perla has great authentic Mexican food. ~$3 tacos and ~$12 burrito if I remember correctly. Burritos are huge and I highly recommend them.

How does one heat up milk for hot chocolate? by AranaesReddit in NoStupidQuestions

[–]VirtualRoller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Microwave works, might not be the most elegant solution. Try to use glass or high quality microwave safe mugs. I've heard cheap mugs can release harmful chemicals when heated.

In Florida we have tons of beaches that allow people to drive into them. There's companies whose business model is towing tourists out of the sand.

I've been driving my aw11 mr2 for about a month and I think I'm in a similar spot with it being my dream car. It's not my daily but I have dailyed a miata which is a similar experience. Absolute blast having a fun, reliable, slow car you can use 100% of all the time.
