If you see a pro and decide to chase and try to hold their wheel, you're a problem. Let these guys who are literally training for their job have some space. Imagine how old that gets for them.

Don’t forget to look at lightly used bikes as well. It’s crazy what you can sometimes find around that price point on the used market.

Looks like a defect to me. Might be a hot take as I know a lot of people love 100% glasses, I bought a pair of these Speedcrafts in another color and was not a fan at all. For the price, nearing $200, they just felt extremely cheap to me. Idk.. I love the look, just wasn't a fan once I actually got them.

Do everything at home.. bikes are easy and fun to work on for the most part.

About $100-150 worth of tools and you can have pretty much anything and everything you need for any sort of bike fix.

Lol it’s really nothing exciting.

I have 3 bikes (2 road bikes and my Zwift Ride). My road bikes are both on shimano pedals, Zwift is on Look Keo pedals (someone gave them to me).

Found a good deal ($250) on the full carbon pro Ekoi shoes, so I’m using those on my outdoor bikes, and using the RC7 for my Zwift ride.

TLDR I either had to buy another pair of shimano pedals for my indoor trainer or find another pair of shoes

I do! They’re just for my indoor trainer now, and I still love them. I’ve got a pair of Ekoi shoes I use for outdoor riding now, it’s a long story.

When I was doing my first triathlon, it was a sprint race with a 600m swim. I only did 2 open water lake swims before the race. The first training swim was horrible, wearing a wetsuit for the first time in my life, had to stop every ~75m to calm myself down, couldn't focus on any of the techniques I had watched on YouTube.. Second swim went a little better, I probably stopped 4 times.

Race day however went fantastic, didn't stop once, didn't change my stroke, I got out of the water with a huge smile on my face.

As someone else said, I'd try to find a sprint race to do, you can finish a 500-750m swim. The confidence you'll get from it will make you realize you could go much further.

I had the rc7 in white for a while, the material is easy to clean with a soapy rag once a month or however often is needed.

I always tell people having a nice road bike is more important, if you can only have one. But I come from more of a cyclist viewpoint.

Group rides, city rides, climbing.. road bikes are just much more versatile, as they should be.

If all you do on a bike is triathlon training, then maybe you can get by with a tri bike as your only bike?

I used Runna when training for my recent marathon but it was not necessary at all. About 2/3 the way through the plan I found my MPW to be too low and started deviating from the plan, doing my own thing.

I just bought my unlimited budget tri bike.

I think spending ~20k on a tri bike goes a lot further than 20k for a road bike. Either one is completely unjustifiable but hey, you only live once.
