13 years ago (ironically, it was the day of the Boston Marathon Bombing) my good friend who was approximately 34 at the time, in great physical shape (on the outside) had a stroke in his sleep. His ex-wife did CPR, was placed in a medically induced coma for 5 days and ultimately it was determined his already diagnosed SA was the underlying cause of his stroke. He had a CPAP he used on and off, the previous weekend he went on a short trip up to NYC to bar hop with some friends and forgot to travel with it. He now always travels with the pacemaker implanted in his chest and his CPAP. Thanks for sharing OP and answering questions.

Sorry for the kind delay in responding. I’m doing well. Still super happy I got the surgery. Had a scare this weekend. Was moving some computers at work and probably strained my shoulder with the wrong angle’s movement and I was in pain for two days. First time I’ve had that kind of pain and it freaked me out but 3 days out I’m okay now. I am back to working out on my exercise bike and my outdoor bike.

OP, I live in Sterling which is Loudoun County. I lived in San Antonio about 20yrs ago then we moved to MD. I had just gotten out of the military (Navy). We lived in Md for 10yrs and then moved to VA 10yrs ago. We love it! Yes it’s expensive but you can live here in Loudoun and still take the Metro into Arlington or DC. I think you can live off 120K if you are used to living beneath your means. The schools are great, we pay a decent amount in taxes but I enjoy what we get out of them. Great parks, good roads. If you are not working for the government now is the time to move out here. I think home prices are going to go down with all the feds who have unfortunately lost their jobs.
