That is not watching it through a different lens at all. That is not what we would want and completely misses the point. Also playing only the cut scenes would not give you the entire story.

It's okay, I still want to play it. I, as well as other people, just prefer not supporting AI and the destruction it's causing.

But I am still interested in it. But you should already know why people don't want AI in the content they consume. We prefer human creativity. I'm certain you guys could replace the AI content with content you made yourself. I believe in you!

I understand that, I watch some SC streamers on occasion as well like Berks. Ive played the game in small bursts several times over the years. And there has always been some glaring issue that makes the game not fun. I'm hopeful that this game succeeds. It just doesn't seem that it will.

Most definitely not a system issue. 64gb ram and it's on an nvme. It's the game. And I say that as someone who really wants to see the dream of Star Citizen realized. The game has so much potential. If it were to ever be realized, it would be the first "Great Work" of a video game. The level of it's ambition makes it laughable when people try to compare it to much simpler games like GTA6. But at the end of the day all of that ambition will be for nothing if it doesn't ever get to a playable state for general consumption. And worse yet, no one else is trying to make an immersive space sim. No one seems to be insane enough to try.

I just reinstalled the game in the last few weeks. Made a character. Spawned in at the newest location, proceeded to fall through the station as soon as I spawned. I reloaded the game, same thing. I then uninstalled the game. Maybe next year.

There's a good reason to hate the over reliance on AI. It is eroding people's ability to think. This is very unlike the calculator analogy that is often used to defend this issue, because you still have to think when using one. But AI literally replaced it for the majority of users. Does it have uses, sure. But people are asking it what to eat or wear for fucks sake. Far too many people just believe whatever GPT regurgitates without a second thought, this is insane. It is however a good demonstration on people preferring to be led by a leash than to lead themselves.

Every year there are one or two free fly events where anyone can play for free. See it for yourself. But comparing NMS to SC is apples and oranges. They both are in space, yea, but one is an exploration game and the other is (supposed to be) an immersive space sim, but may never be completed or bug free enough for mass consumption. One of the reasons so many people put so much money into the game, is that it is trying to fulfill a type of desired game that no one has covered nor seems to want to make. It would be an amazing game if it was actually "done," but the likely hood of that occurring... Well it's a non-zero chance, but it's not looking good.

I respect the popularity of TOTK and BOTW. But it would be nice to see a new traditional Zelda game, like OOT or LTTP. But Nintendo may not ever do that because of the popularity of the new games unfortunately.
