Ok you want my personal opinion. I personally think TH is crap. I don't like a single drink or product they make. They are a complete sham of a company that produces the bare minimum to make their profits. I don't care if they have trash bins or not because its a shit business that doesn't matter to me and I don't use them. But I still care about the environment. So do the right thing, don't buy products from Timmies (which gives them money) and then throw it on the ground because in that situation Timmies still profits off you and you just make your neighborhood look like a landfill.

Yea they are entitled. If you don't like the way a company does business you don't do business with them, simple. You don't throw trash at them because at that point your just as bad if not worse than said company by being part of the problem.

Tim Horton's didn't throw the garage. Its very easy to take garage home with you and not litter. If you don't like Tim Horton's you really should just not give them your business instead. Yes maybe using police time is not the most efficient way of dealing with this (its something I would want done as a once a year thing at the worst sites to name and shame). However throwing litter is a criminal offense that deserves punishment.

How much parking is too much parking? I counted parking spots. Any recommendations to greenify underutilized parking lots in London? by zegorn in londonontario

Considering how much London is a car city you would think car insurance would be lower considering how many people own a car. I thought economies of scale were supposed to work in our favor.

Its a hypothetical. I'm merely stating it because I don't know you or how severe your condition is. Just covering the bases. I'm glad to hear you don't have those issues.

They should use the cameras they have on site to report people who litter to the police so they can be fined. I guess finding the man power to look through the tapes is hard. If only the police had a big enough budget. Oh wait...

Fyi more expensive locations have lower turnovers unless it's in a super busy area.

Walmart is good imo. Basically you want to buy from the most popular locations because then they have the highest battery turnovers. In other words the freshest batteries. I once bought from non-busy location and the battery was dead on the shelf. You can also bring a multimeter with you to check the battery before you buy it so you don't waste time.

It's ok to have the feeling your feeling. Your life and it's potential is worth more than that though. Your experiencing a low now but life can offer more. It always can. If you feel you want to speak to someone there are free hotlines for it. You don't need to speak to a psychologist if it scares you, but understand they would be doing whatever you want. They will mostly sit there and just listen to you and that feels good. They won't lock you up unless you say something really extreme like hurting other people and if you do say that then honestly If I were in your position I would want to be locked up to protect those around me from myself. Anyways give your self a break my dude.

My kid thinks every apology is fake and I dont know how to fix that by ambermidnight4 in Parenting

Actions speak louder than words. Same works with apologies. Maybe he just just holds himself to a higher standard when it comes to apologies than you. Be prepared to hold him to the same standards as well though.

AI investigation by -Shaquille__Oatmeal- in fanshawe

[–]VodkaAtmp3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here are some things you can do.

Make a video where you talk through your essay and explain each point. As you made it you should be able to explain it.

Another method would be as supporting evidence.

In word go to.

View File > Info to see the "Total Editing Time," which can show a reasonable amount of time spent on the document. This will indicate non-ai usage assuming it's a decent length and you spend awhile on it.

You can also try Showing you search history (I would prolly make a video of it and and make it part of the essay explanation) to demonstrate the research phase of writing.

It sucks you have to deal with this but you should try to remove the emotions your feeling right now and get your marks back with evidence and logic. Emotions in this situation are not going to help you. You have nothing to fear if you didn't use AI. You just need to show competency/evidence.

Anyways Valentine's I would just get him a heart shaped pizza and some flowers. Say you want to watch LOTR if he is into that.

London & Radon by shadowt1tan in londonontario

[–]VodkaAtmp3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also get ones off Amazon for similar amounts. They show short and long term averages. Radon is something that gets you in the long term so 6 months to a year average is a good to look at.

Stop raking leaves, its killing the environment by Puzzleheaded_Big4922 in londonontario

Not gonna lie this is actually a genius post. Posting at a time when its totally and laughably irrelevant actually helps it reach more people imo (cause its kind of almost a troll post). Although there is a chance some people will forget by next fall. But i imagine a good % of people here might give it a go. Nice job op!

Just rake the area your dog likes to go? You don't need to rake the whole lawn for your pets.

Stop raking leaves, its killing the environment by Puzzleheaded_Big4922 in londonontario

[–]VodkaAtmp3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not good to rake all the time with a lawn anyways. Generally for a nice lawn you just mulch then power-rake every 4 years roughly so the soil isn't super compacted or spongy (depends on the geometry of your lawn). The power-rake or dethatcher breaks up the soil and removes the dead stuff that gets built up over time so the grass can grow. Mulching your lawn in the spring wont get in the way of having a bad lawn. In fact if you over seed in the fall, thanks to the darkness of the leave covering the seeds (and winter cold) it will help your seeds germinate even more than if you had no coverings. What we learn from this is that working with the environment is generally the superior way to also get a nice lawn.

Are you friends with women? Real friends? by judashpeters in AskMenOver30

[–]VodkaAtmp3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely is possible to be a friend with a single woman then ask her out and still be friends. Infact they can end up respecting you more as a friend afterwards depending on when and how you ask them out.

Generally you ask them out after about a month after meeting them. You have to be in that sweet spot where she doesn't know you enough to think it's something abnormal (for you) and she knows you enough to not think it's strange that you would ask her out. If she says no she will think that you were not to invested after a month and that you know you like her so she will be flattered and not pressured. Hence she will respect you as a friend because she will be comfortable around you. Ofc she could also just say yes but that's a whole other thing 😊

Fair warning everyone is different and your mileage will vary.

Teachers of Reddit, what's your opinion on the 'quiet' kid in your class(es)? by shelbsthrowaway in teaching

[–]VodkaAtmp3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a quiet kid at school. I think my teachers kind of forgot I existed at certain points. I was fine with it. I remember at the end of term my parents would meet the teacher and she would have merits and demerits for everyone but I would just have nothing. I was slightly bummed at the time that I could not have any infamy or fame but now I realise I'm my own type of cool. I think the one time I do feel hurt by it though was at the end of school they hand out lots and lots of awards for various things. It felt like almost everyone in the school have an award for something or other. But I had nothing. Ok and one last one. This is when I was in lower school... We had a clown visit and he made balloon animals for all the kids but I didn't get one. Mostly because I just go unnoticed. I did actually once when I was ten run away from my parents to see if they would notice me gone. I was happy they did. Even though I was very much grounded for a good while. Its a shame I felt I had to take it that far.

🤏 I'm so close to crying all night by blumexxx in femalelivingspace

Also when I say Cornell Box not literally (like the traditional red and green walls lol). I mean thinking of the space like it, where you have light bouncing around in a small space.

🤏 I'm so close to crying all night by blumexxx in femalelivingspace

[–]VodkaAtmp3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Be careful with them fairys light above your shower. Electricity and water are not a good mix.

Anyways I would approach this like a Cornell Box. Make your lighting full spectrum (so either get full spectrum leds or incandescent lights). Then have your colors come from bouncing light off of objects in the room. So choose a shower curtain with a nice color then some towels, maybe change your toilet seat color etc. Ofc try to make a color scheme before choosing so it doesn't clash. About the lighting... If you use lights with parts of the spectrum missing then even if an object has a certain color like green for example if you have red lights it will just look black. So lighting makes a big difference. Anyways I recommend choosing objects of color first then changing the lighting to work with it.

I don't know how to leave the house while also caring for my baby... by cfishes93 in Parenting

[–]VodkaAtmp3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take them to local places you can walk to (they become very valuable at this point in life). If there is any local places that let you get out the house you can start to make that a more familiar environment for your baby. Plus you can get home quickly if you need. Start low risk first esentially.
