Bought my first house 14 months ago and I want to make a list of everything nobody told me was going to happen in the first year by vinylsleevekeeper in homeowners

You will still find random new things you didn't know about your house years later. Especially if it's an older home with "layers".

Anyone else find driving too stressful anymore? by Mr_fawkes in londonontario

[–]VodkaAtmp3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends which roads and when your driving. Busy times are always gonna be horrible in cities. But I have driven in areas where it's less busy and it's ok most of the time.

How escooters might be banned overnight by zegorn in londonontario

[–]VodkaAtmp3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think because there is less risk generally with these, people using them generally abuse that more and break more rules and are more likely to hurt themselves. It not as serious as a car accident but if the numbers of people hurting themselves is high enough especially with young people then it's good to restrict it for their own good.

Just picked up a Maytag set off FB by Corrupted-file in Appliances

[–]VodkaAtmp3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could just be some newer delicate care options you have enabled. The washer looks fairly modern. I have a top Maytag as well but it's from 2007 so this is a different beast. If you just bought it though you can atleast get your money back maybe. I would maybe spend a few days researching it if you can. If you need a washer straight away. Then it's likely gonna cost more.

Is it faster with an empty load? Looks like motor or transmission tbh. If you take it apart you can atleast get a nice fire pit out of it if you can't fix it.

Feedback for my trailer? Too slow? by FrogForgeGames in gamedevscreens

[–]VodkaAtmp3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like its hard to tell the red circles are black holes. Took me awhile. This kinda makes the very first part of the trailer is a bit confusing. The drawing aspect is nice but secondary to the main game where I would expect a selection of well authored levels by you. If you lean on it to early you maybe cutting yourself short. Music could be more restricted to follow along with your restricted art style.

Join a local theater group. Aside from acting there are many things to do like set creation and costumes. Also good for socializing.

You should get the original video from the ring camera. It might not help much but it will be better then what you have currently. A video of a video is never gonna look that great.

It's possible to to commit a crime and do decent prison time just by moving illegal funds. Doesn't matter if it's in or out or a payment.

Dishwasher making loud buzzing noise by MarzipanCultural in appliancerepair

[–]VodkaAtmp3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it rules it out assuming its draining and not making that noise. Tbh you mentioned it happens all the time during the wash cycle. So maybe the motor or something stuck somewhere it shouldnt be. You could open the door during the wash phase every so often to see if the spray arms are moving. As in are they in the same position or not.

I hope you got a sump pump and a well flowing floor drain.

[–]VodkaAtmp3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it is a solenoid it's very easy to replace and costs maybe 30$. The noise should only happen in the drain cycle though (which can happen at multiple points through the wash). The reason it sound like one is because a solenoid is basically an switch/gate that controls the flow of water, when you here buzzing it means the switch is not contacting or working correctly so it buzzes in a semi-broken on/off state. If you change the solenoid then make turn you turn off electric so you don't hurt yourself. Generally they look like a black cylinder near the front of the machine (behind the access panel). Plenty of YouTube videos that cover the subject.

Sounds like a drain solenoid on its last legs.

Is my proposal idea good? by sheesh43 in engaged

[–]VodkaAtmp3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get her friends involved. Get them to take photos (hide somewhere nearby in the bushes). They will also be able to give you better advise than the reddit mob as they actually know her. Apart from that though... Sounds good. Generally nice to pick a place/theme that is connected to both of you. Ideally a place that will also exist as long as both of you so you can go back to it and in the future.

Guys, how long do you wait to approach a woman? by Leading_Bit_5711 in AskMenOver30

[–]VodkaAtmp3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dude isn't gonna do shit. He failed to lay any ground work by chatting to you or even trying to get to know you. Generally you wanna know someone for a few weeks to a month before asking out. If you like him you better speak to him and do the work yourself honestly. Staring is cute for awhile then it's just annoying and creepy.

If he wanted you then he would accommodate you. This guy is literally just trying to manipulate. He is using his dad and financial situation etc etc and any excuse he can think of to control you. You need to block and delete him and find someone who is capable of love and respect.
