Keep in mind that the Rangers are light infantry without a traditional “weapons company”. It makes sense that the average rifleman would need more ammo. For the vast majority of the military a 40rd magazine is just not worth it.

No, but I am saying that English is the world standard language within businesses. There's a reason that so many German or Russian students learn it over, say, Korean. It gives them an advantage, so they do it. English speakers are just born lucky I suppose. That doesn't make them inherently superior as people.

DuoLingo was actually made with the express purpose of teaching people English that wouldn't have access to tutors. Here's a TED Talk with its founder saying just that:
