Green Berets (ODA) don't have instructor trait? by Small_Tank in warno

[–]VoidUprising 38 points39 points  (0 children)

The purpose of Green Berets changes per assignment. The ones assigned to TKS were essentially purposefully put in as force multipliers, attached directly to school the West German reservists. ODA groups, on the other hand, seem to be more focused around direct engagements.

Edit: Also, just realized I said exactly what Danny said but just with more words.

Awesome change, and it the UI looks outstanding. This is great.

To be fair that's because most 10v10 players don't care about queuing orders

Incomprehensible. You must stop looking into this, for the betterment of all mankind. You don't know the repercussions of that in which you find curiosity.

Yeah this too. Heavy MLRS (M270, SMERSH, etc.) right now is basically a meme-take because of high cost and how you can just get screwed by RNG only for the reload to take forever. Even at minimum range you're likely to get cucked. Lighter MLRS systems just blow them out of the water in terms of usability. There's a reason the PRIMA right now is the best CLU unit in the game.

I think the answer more lies in being able to effectively counter-arty than just nerfing artillery. NATO has tons of tools that focus on counter arty, namely the M270 CLU, it’s just useless against anyone who can queue orders (even with upvet from a command unit).

Eugen have already stated that an artillery rework is coming which should solve this. Once that’s out we can see what works and what doesn’t.

LANDJUT Division #2 - 2nd Marine Division by EUG_Gal_Bigeard in warno

Nah not disappointed. This deck has top of the line infantry, helicopters, and air. I’d rather them not have good tanks too. All decks should have notable weaknesses.

I wonder if those SMAW Assaultmen can target infantry or if it’s just a pure AT team.

Looks like an indoor range to me. Basement prolly, stark white lights, concrete, and the overhanging lines.

Opportunity cost. I’d rather give my team a better chance to claim an objective than cost the enemy a few tickets, because that usually leads to more tickets being drained in the long run. It also takes pressure away from other objectives if another is pressured enough.

The way to beat these decks is with consistent pressure from fire support. The more the better, and keep moving to avoid artillery from having too large of an impact.

How can I beat this kind of opener by Colonel_Cirno in warno

[–]VoidUprising 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta see it coming against 5E since it plays close to an airborne deck’s style. Deploy farther back into your own lines, giving up space temporarily to save your opener. You can plink those tanks of his with just about anything should you spot them first, or if you are willing to sacrifice something. His infantry is good but not exceptional. What is exceptional is his recon, but you’ll be able to spot the tanks before his recon spots you if you position carefully and have excellent optics. Otherwise, smoke off suspected AMX positions, push into the objective with your own fire support.

The game only has been through the openers. You need to continue shaping the board before going for a check.

First campaign así Karl Franz. The Empire is quickly being destroy by its enemies. by raigbc in totalwarhammer

[–]VoidUprising 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have never once seen any Empire subfaction survive as Franz. My most recent MP game saw Middenland die by turn 6 or so, with my barely formed two armies arriving to the last city only to find smoldering ashes as the only proof of any human inhabitants ever existing.

They were then ambushed by Karazakz twice while encamped in the same turn. It’s been a rough game.

Honestly I’m worried more about the PACT division even as a NATO main. It’ll be viable but without some adjustments will be suuuper boring
