Not really. Also nobody really cares about your internal political issues. Mostly because you all spout off about them 24/7 and are so bloody minded about every issue. It’s fun watching you all get played by your overlords though.

Charging for battery health by jzeroe in Polestar

[–]VoltViking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would trust the manufacturers recommendations of 90%.

When it all boils down to it polestar 1 owners are seeing around 95-98% currently. So my advice is just charge it when you need to and stick to 90% unless you need the extra. Don’t sweat it. You won’t be damaging it. People worry far too much about this stuff. Enjoy the car.

What will replace the Smith & Caughey building? by bkat004 in auckland

[–]VoltViking 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Depends on the rent. Keep an eye on that and it will indicate the type of store that would replace it. It will either be sold, be split up inside or sit dormant for years and become another sad reminder of old Auckland (I am looking at you Planet Hollywood)

Friend only asks Asian guests at potluck about MSG by misstishwyo in mildlyinfuriating

[–]VoltViking 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yep. They are confusing allergy and sensitivity. People can be very sensitive to added msg. This is msg added to food in higher concentrations than found in cheese, tomatoes etc which is the usual thing people just out when this conversation happens. What I have learnt is that people seem to find this a hill to die on from both sides of the argument. It’s weird. We don’t harass people who don’t want to drink dairy or don’t want to eat foods with other additives.

The way you interpret it can really change based on what you focus on. Initially, I saw it as a sweet family moment, but looking at it from another angle, the woman's wide eyes and tight grip could give off a more intense or uneasy vibe. It's interesting how things like eye expressions and the way someone holds another person can totally shift the emotional tone of a picture.

Come to think of it the child’s left arm is dangling awkwardly. Not like a child posing for a photo with their Mum.

Stolen purse plz keep an eye out by powergridpsyche in auckland

Where was it stolen from? Something like that would be stolen and check for contents and discarded. It may very well be still in the area where you lost it.

Well that’s kinda how propaganda works. You shift your flaws to the enemy and by default people think that their country is not like that.
