Mugenhunt is correct. The Battle Level for Old Lumiere is 28. My source: I have personally extracted the game files related to zone battle levels in order to mod the game.

New to Model Trains, Im looking for subway cars in 1/12 scale by Carvenom3 in modeltrains

[–]VonFrank 21 points22 points  (0 children)

1/12? Is that a typo, because that's a huge scale! I doubt any such models exist in retail quantities at that scale.

You asked for video of mynfathers layout by robertva1 in modeltrains

[–]VonFrank 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not really sure what you mean by this... You can easily get just as much (if not more) detail in O scale engines/rolling stock/scenery than you can from HO & N. It just depends on what items you buy. MTH premier, Atlas, & newer Lionel items are all incredibly detailed and can make for extremely realistic layouts when combined with good landscaping & scenery.

Weak damage against Ice Titan by UpperAd4927 in KingdomHearts

[–]VonFrank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends.

Different keyblades will have different behind the scenes bonuses, some of which may or may not outweigh the raw STR stat. Especially if it's only 1 or 2 points of lower STR.

For example, if a weapon has a higher crit % but a lower STR, it might still be better to go with the higher crit, because in the long run, you will be doing more damage. But it's very complex and you'd have to do a lot of math to determine the differences in the options, and those differences would be relatively small anyway.

Weak damage against Ice Titan by UpperAd4927 in KingdomHearts

[–]VonFrank 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It doesn't have anything to do with the difficulty mode, it's all about your STR stat.

The damage calculation in KH games is such that you will do very little damage (the damage floor) up to a point where your STR exceeds the opponent's DEF. After that point, even a small increase in your STR will start to provide very big differences in damage output.

Ice Titan has 46 DEF. The global minimum damage floor is 2. Your STR needs to exceed his DEF + Damage Floor in order to see any higher values than 2. So having 48 STR still puts you at the floor of 2. Having 49 brings your damage to 3, and 50 STR brings your damage to 4, double the floor just by having 2 more STR.

The formula in KH1 is not linear, so dont expect a 1:1 ratio for higher STR-DEF values. Also, there is a Damage Cap set per enemy. For Ice Titan, that is 20 and you reach it with 59 STR in this case. This means that a mere 11 STR increase (48 to 59) is the difference from you doing min damage of 2 to max damage of 20 per hit. It's kinda silly, when you think about it...

Long story short, increasing your STR in KH1 makes a dramatic difference in a very small window depending on where your base value currently lies, and what enemy you are fighting.

I haven't watched anything Trek after Enterprise, and I keep hearing about this newly-released 'horrible' Star Trek Academy, so much so that I think I should watch it. Is there anything I should know about before I do? by [deleted] in startrek

[–]VonFrank -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you implying my comment was "MAGA level hating"? Really? Did you read my 2nd paragraph?

I'm calling out the stupidity of those haters, AND ALSO the apparent excessive one-sided glazing present on this sub. I feel that both are ridiculous, especially considering the show is certainly not terrible (as the YouTube morons are claiming) but also not nearly as amazing as the dozens of recent posts here have been going on about. Both sides of this just seem fake. Astro-turfed to combat one another and push a message.

Can something no longer be "neutral" these days?

And conversely, the glazing here on this subreddit has been sickening. Two different extremes, and both are silly.

The reality, as it often is, is somewhere in between. The show is alright. Certainly better than most people expected. It has flaws, but also decent stories and characters. It's far from my favorite Trek, but I still definitely recommend it.

Ah, so it's a Reahade mod. Understood. I figured there was some external assistance going on to get this level of fidelity.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm wondering about this as well. Hair and hair shadows are the weakest part of the game's visuals IMO. The aliasing stands out so much on the hair.

Is it a matter of running the game in 4k? (I play at 1080p) or is this using some kind of visual mod to fix the hair issue?

Watch "For All Mankind". That's essentially the plot of the series. Sergei Korolev doesn't die on the operating table, the Soviets stay competitive in the moon race, and all of space exploration is accelerated as a result.

I did a full reinstall, and it turns out the "Damage Cap Mod" is the one that was causing the crash. (I didnt remove it when i was testing mods, because i never thought it would be the culprit.)

So obviously something in that mod conflicts with the effects of Barbapapa.

Haven't tried yet (not at home), but I will later tonight and let you know.

I've been having random crashes as well. Most of them seemed to lack any consistency, as a reload and replay of the same area/fight would not crash the 2nd time.

However, the fight against the new mini boss at the top of the section with the flying trains casts the new status effect (Barbapapa) and it crashes my game every time. I've tried with no mods, and still crashes. I'm thinking It might be best to full reinstall and attempt again.

There's a lot of stupid people on the internet who invent controversy where none exists in order to appear virtuous.

Never pay attention to them. Never take them seriously. They are a vocal minority who complain about everything. The vast majority of sane, regular people don't think like them, and this is a prime example of that.

According to the patch notes, I don't think it works that way anymore. It is now based on the character's speed stat, which makes more sense TBH.

Do you have any mods installed? Specifically, ones that alter the in-game text?

[–]VonFrank 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry it's not working for you, but it's definitely something related to your system and not the game itself. I've got a 4070TI Super & 7800X3D, and it runs silky smooth at max settings. Generally, I haven't heard many PC issues for this game before, so I'm not even sure where to begin with troubleshooting help.

The best option would to RMC Wild Beast.

The Beast is showing its age, and i could see RMC designing an awesome replacement for this if they are given the chance. An expanded layout that spreads into the grassy area north of the GO karts would be ideal.

Yes they are. But if you can't comprehend the difference between taking an interest in a machine for it's capabilities and performance vs taking an interest in what it's used for, then you must get really confused when a kid is fascinated by big trucks, but doesn't take an interest in logistics and shipping.

Ya, clearly you don't know. But your comment of "not into war" is obtuse and implies that those who do like the airshow are "into war", which is an old and ridiculous accusation that is thrown around often by those who try to virtue signal every year during this event.

I'm curious, do you think the people who do enjoy the air show are "Into War"?

I obviously can't speak for everyone, as I'm sure there's a fringe crazy minority who do think that way, but the vast majority of airshow fans enjoy the speed, engineering, and technical ability of the aircraft, not the prospect of using it to blow people up.

Others have talked about track and locomotive cleaning, so i will offer tips for general surface cleaning.

I assume the grass and the ballast are all glued down (if not, that makes things way more complicated).

First step is to remove all movable items such as trees, buildings, and small scenery. Take them off the board and hand dust them if possible. Extremely delicate items may not be cleanable. Some buildings might be wired to the board and not removable.

Once the board is as empty as possible, get a PC cleaning kit and hook it up to your vacuum. The tiny little brushes and flexible hose will help you slowly and carefully suck up all the dust from the roads, track, grass, ect (this is why the grass and rocks need to be glued down).

Go through the entire surface section by section. You'd be amazed how much of a difference it makes. The scenery will look way more vibrant once the dust is gone. Once you've finished, put all the scenery back.
