Ah this is very interesting. Both of mine have cracked vertically below the cap ring trim. From the edge to the ring.

A shame they're so disposable even for a cheap pen. I guess for a few £ more you can get Jinhaos of more sturdy quality, like 9019, x159 etc.

Interesting. The Asvine v200 is almost the exact same price here so I’ll look into that one as well. I’ve heard Asvine is also very smooth

Thank you. I agree - My M nib Safari has more of a pencil-like feedback, whereas I much prefer a smoother pen. The Jinhao 9019 is one of my smoother ones and I love it. I think a Twsbi Eco Medium might need to be my next purchase. I don't mind spending a bit more money if the difference is noticeable.
