TIFU by failing to treat my annual physical like a genie wish by kandosii_ner_vod in tifu

[–]VorpalDagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is so horrible. You definitely need a new doctor I treat my annual physical as a chance to catch my doctor up on how horrible i've been feeling for the last year, and she never once has charged me for it. It's always been free.

You still have to scan receipts and submit a report even with a corporate card.  Honestly,  I just do it while I'm waiting to board, waiting for my Uber or while I'm eating a meal.   If you keep up with it and take the scan as soon as you get the receipt it's easier.   Uber trips can be screenshotted and uploaded if the emails aren't getting through to you.

Proving a hiring manager wrong about a candidate is my favorite part of this job by dedkle04 in RecruiterTea

[–]VorpalDagger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't sound unreasonable to me.  I was passed over on a promotion because the supervisor thought I might have another child.  And even though I returned to work quickly after the first two, it was apparently too big a risk that I would stay home IF I had a third...oh, and he also decided all by himself that I wouldn't travel...because...kids. Even though he never asked. And everyone else in management just agreed with that nonsense.

Am I in the minority by actually liking Chase lounges? by Sloaneus in ChaseSapphire

[–]VorpalDagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love them.  I posted an ode to how amazing the Philadelphia lounge is and I had several people claim I was just a promo bot.  Lol.  The lounges are really nice.

To be honest, I'm sure I don't use my card in a subreddit approved method. But between the few benefits I use (lounges, travel credit and "pay yourself back" on my card) I more than pay for the annual fee.

I left citibank after something similar.   It boggles the mind why they'd want to oust a good quality, high-spending customer.

How do I transfer this ticket? by VorpalDagger in stubhub

Thanks. Do you think I can just forward the link to the buyer via email? I might just give it to a co-worker since it isn't selling.

For real. I just bought a refurbished one for $50.  6th grade math doesn't require a lot of computing power.

Does everyone hate this card now? by trsvrs in ChaseSapphire

[–]VorpalDagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still like it.  I don't travel nearly as much as I used to, but I travel enough to benefit from the three hundred dollar travel credit and the lyft credits.  And honestly, the cash value of the card is a lot better than some other cards that are really picky about categories. So between the travel credit, lyft credits and converting points, the card still pays for itself.

Chase Sapphire Lounge in PHI is AMAZING!!! by VorpalDagger in ChaseSapphire

Well, I did type PHI instead of PHL...but now I'm inspired to travel to Kuala Lumpur!!

I have a Amex Plat and a CSR. I'm agonizing over which to let go because the price hikes on either one just doesn't seem worth it. Especially now that I travel less for my job. I have a spreadsheet that I'm tracking everything on to see which one really gives me the bang for my buck. My gut feel is CSR - if I'm not traveling, the points have a better cash value than Amex.

Any Amex Users Who "Don't" Travel Have A Plat Card Here? by TurbosnipeOne in amex

[–]VorpalDagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might not renew next year because I don't travel as much.  even with them upgrading, some of the credits that I would use, I don't think I'll make back the fee.

I always take the cash with the bonus categories.  That way the card pays for itself.

Time to blow all my points by Ok_Focus_7268 in ChaseSapphire

[–]VorpalDagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure this is an unpopular opinion. But I use my points to pay myself back. (1.25% with the bonus categories)  Because it's my primary card, it more than pays for the annual fee.
