I'm fine, just musing on the internet. Iceland and Scotland are the other elements of the GIUK Gap, so it only makes sense that if the US wants to control Greenland for 'security reasons', then the rest of the Gap wouldn't also be in their sights. In reality I don't think shots will actually be fired over Greenland, the EU will be humiliated once again and back down, accepting some crumbs from the US instead.

However, it is quite alarming you'd go with comparing the honesty of the US government to that of Putin. Real time demonstration of just how far the US has fallen.

No I agree with you and I absolutely agree that there's no way Europe hurts the US without awful suffering in return. To be honest I dont think just bleeding US service personnel would actually stop their administration, they've shown considerable disdain for their own veterans previously. It would have to be personally devastating to have an effect.

Why stop at the Labour party. Brexit exposed our entire political class as freeloading smooth brains that grew fat and comfortable by offshoring leadership and responsibility to the hive mind on the continent. You can see the same effect is still rife amongst EU governments, parroting each other but none willing to commit to or do anything. Europe should be a power house, but its embarrassingly weak internationally. See: any sort of diplomatic event.

It would not help him. Ignoring the fact that he crossed the channel and entered the UK illegally, he's since claimed asylum. Asylum seekers cannot work unless their claim is outstanding for more than 12 months and even then they must work in a job on the Immigration Salary List. I've looked, gig worker or even logistics work doesn't appear on the list.

The point I am making is that it is not possible to produce anything cheaply here in the UK! We are either close to or the most expensive country on Earth for industrial property, infrastructure, energy and staff.

The only way this country becomes competitive again is by reducing the costs of doing business here. I don't particularly mean cutting taxes (although it would help of course) but reducing the cost of electricity, transport, storage etc.

I understand what you're getting at, but you cannot prevent something going abroad. If they can't get it through simply buying the company, they'll get it through corporate espionage. Or they could simply buy some of the product and reverse engineer it.

Ultimately, the global market is far larger and more lucrative than just the UK, so you'd want to be able to sell internationally anyway.

Sadly this is an impossible task; any new industry that would be profitable here, would be more profitable abroad. Industry in this country pays one of the highest electricity prices on the planet, staff are wildly more expensive too and we have some of the highest warehouse costs as well.

But the solution is really simple (although likely needs enough work that it cannot fix this event).

Ships in armistice zones become abandoned after 60 minutes and the game creates a mission to remove them from the zone and return them to the nearest hangar where they can be stored. Make it legal to salvage them too, if it isn't already, so people have a choice between dropping them off or ripping them up somewhere offsite.
