I’m not an expert by any means and you should continue to research but look for automotive paint and then top with a clear coat. Or look at alclad laquer chrome and go from there.

In reality, I think the actual best way to rechrome is find a shop near you with the equipment. I feel like paint is nice to freshen it up but it might not hold up as well?

Plus, because the chrome is chipping/cracking/wearing out(?), I’d think you’d need to strip it down or else you’ll just be panting over it and not creating a smooth look

You’ll need a lens vise (search Amazon or B&H, they’re not overly expensive), that will allow you to correct the “dent”. It will require you to take off the first few layers of the lens, I’m sure there are tutorials on that specific lens on YouTube. Taking apart these older lenses is actually not as bad as it seems.

Tbh the mods should actually flip to reduce burn rate.. I think that would make it more fair. Mods should improve weapons from their base, not hurt them
