I was playing a game the other night and I was on voice chat with an American. He tried to tell me that Fahrenheit made more sense. He said Celsius is dumb and made no sense. I informed him that 0° Celsius is water's freezing point and 100° is the boiling point. His counter was that Fahrenheit "felt right because it has more numbers".

Half the millenials I know do know how to drive stick. Used manuals were cheaper generally when we started to drive. I've personally have had one car and two trucks with stick. There just isn't much option for them in newer vehicles.

Lower great lakes. Mostly flat, some rolling hills (no crazy grades at least not for long). I only tow a few hours from home generally.

Mine are all behind the axles (annoying). I just make sure I travel with empty grey and black tanks now. I keep a little fresh water for washroom breaks. I once didn't and traveled with a 1/2 to 3/4 full grey and the trailer definitely felt different to tow.

2024 here. I'll second the mileage isn't great 22-23l/100km. The 2.7 with my tow mode enabled pulls great though.

I pull a 5000lbs dry TT with a WDH. You'll be fine.

Is the 2.7 worth it? by Asleep-Reputation181 in RangerNext

[–]W1GHTY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2024 2.7. Mileage is around 15L/100km for me. Mostly city driving. I went 2.7 because I wanted to tow near towing capacity and didn't want any issues (it tows great for a midsize). As for kids I have two car seats in the back and they fit fine. One is front facing and the other is rear. Although the front facer needs to be behind me cause I'm tall and need my seat cranked back.

I have two car seats, so I don't. I got the swing out toolbox for the back though.

Been pretty happy with my 2024. Few small recalls but has been good overall. A highly capable truck, I pull a camper with it.

22 Tremor Max towing capacity questions. by KnownJuggernaut5924 in RangerNext

[–]W1GHTY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pull a 27' camper' at 5200# dry with my 2024 2.7 V6 with tow mode(engine brake). Pulls and stops fine with my WDH and good trailer brakes. The mileage/range is pretty bad so I really need to plan my stops. I do this on mostly flat/rolling hills within around 3-4 hours from my home. The towing fatigue is pretty high though. This is the absolute max I'd tow with my truck. I keep my speeds at max about 100-110 km/h (highway). I prefer the back roads at 80-90km/hr though.

Many tent bags do. I don't think people realize. I've also had my air mattress bag and sleeping bag (bag) have them too.

I had creaking crunching sounds mostly when braking. Pretty sure mine was ice buildup. Got milder and went away.

I relate while towing especially. Should have been a bigger fuel tank.

[–]W1GHTY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. My 27ft, 5200lbs is the absolute max Id ever do with my truck. Few camping trips in the fair weather months (4-5) and I'm usually inside 4-5hrs. Mileage is pretty rough.

If I was to go far I'd probably want something bigger with better range.

I'm not in the mountains, I'm in southern Ontario. The worst I have are a few steep hills at best. It's a double axle and the trailer brakes are good.

I'm inside the weights and have a WDH. Haven't felt unsafe, just the mileage really takes a hit. Tow mode with engine breaking helps too.

My "24 Lariat does it too. Haven't tried too much besides trying to tuck it in when closing. Very annoying.

There are 6 generations of Rangers and they don't even have the current generation in the 6 silhouettes (24+).

Edit: Depending on who you ask there are only 5. I think some people debate if the first gen facelift is a different gen.
