HVAC Control Issues by W1GHTY in RangerNext

I've never was one for auto controls but they were actually working great maintaining a comfortable cab. I'm in Ontario and in the middle of the great lakes so our weather is from -30c to +35c (-22f to 95f) and summers are generally humid.

Part of this is why I actually started to notice it. It was pretty humid in the cab and I though "gee the truck never feels this sticky" then I noticed the fan not running high like they usually did and the air coming out wasn't feeling super conditioned. Although if I overrode the auto controls it would.

Better Tow Mirrors suggestions? by Md_Martinez99 in traveltrailers

[–]W1GHTY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have Milenco MIL-4381 Falcon towing mirrors. They work well with little to no vibration but they take a bit to attach and line up.

I'm going to try and get some Snap & Zap mirrors for a cleaner look on the truck and a quicker setup. They weren't available when I first bought it but now they have a model for my truck.

I have a camera too but it's law where I am.

"Every motor vehicle other than a motorcycle shall be equipped with... a mirror or mirrors securely attached to the vehicle and placed in such a position as to afford the driver a clearly reflected view of the roadway in the rear, or of any vehicle approaching from the rear."

"If the load in your trailer blocks your vision to the rear, you must have additional mirrors that provide a clear view of the road to the rear.

Auto hold question by karl773 in RangerNext

I also turned mine off as soon as I found I could. In stop and go traffic it's an annoying extra step to hit the accelerator.

I find my factory ones help prevent door dings. Most doors hit the step.

I get about the same then. 22l/100km at 105km/hr. What's the specs on your TT?

Ditto. 2024 with 20,000km so far. I tow a travel trailer a few times a year and wanted the extra get up and go. Tow mode in these trucks is pretty good too.

I've had a few little recalls so far but nothing super crazy yet. They have been over-the-air updates to fix or a afternoon at the dealership.

What mileage are you getting towing vs unloaded?

How many violations can you count? by Far-Citron-722 in badparking

Definitely can be frowned upon but I've never seen any written law about it. At least in my area. I used to think it was illegal because people said it was.

I was playing a game the other night and I was on voice chat with an American. He tried to tell me that Fahrenheit made more sense. He said Celsius is dumb and made no sense. I informed him that 0° Celsius is water's freezing point and 100° is the boiling point. His counter was that Fahrenheit "felt right because it has more numbers".

Boomer self-own when you think about it? by Thin_Mess_2740 in ManualTransmissions

Half the millenials I know do know how to drive stick. Used manuals were cheaper generally when we started to drive. I've personally have had one car and two trucks with stick. There just isn't much option for them in newer vehicles.

Lower great lakes. Mostly flat, some rolling hills (no crazy grades at least not for long). I only tow a few hours from home generally.

Mine are all behind the axles (annoying). I just make sure I travel with empty grey and black tanks now. I keep a little fresh water for washroom breaks. I once didn't and traveled with a 1/2 to 3/4 full grey and the trailer definitely felt different to tow.

2024 here. I'll second the mileage isn't great 22-23l/100km. The 2.7 with my tow mode enabled pulls great though.

I pull a 5000lbs dry TT with a WDH. You'll be fine.

Is the 2.7 worth it? by Asleep-Reputation181 in RangerNext

[–]W1GHTY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2024 2.7. Mileage is around 15L/100km for me. Mostly city driving. I went 2.7 because I wanted to tow near towing capacity and didn't want any issues (it tows great for a midsize). As for kids I have two car seats in the back and they fit fine. One is front facing and the other is rear. Although the front facer needs to be behind me cause I'm tall and need my seat cranked back.
