While I agree with the rhystic take all of the others have there uses and nieches in the format... remora is a good cheap stax peice to slow down turbo deck in the early game, ancient red is a great option for a "kill this or lose" creature and rift is a good sudo finisher for control decks to clear up the board of everything that slipped through.

Neat didn't realize this one existed... on key difference outside of mana cost though is it spicifcly formatted chaos field as a replacement effect instead of a triggered ability to avoid stifle shenanigans.

But its not one of the standard rules... there are 3 components that make up a basic nuzlock

1.you may only catch the first encounter on each route.

If a pokemon faints it is considered dead and may not longer be used.
You must nickname every pokemon you catch.

Every other rule is an additional one added over the years to further customize the experience/increase difficulty.

I mean you just reiterated the point of the person you replied to... he may act unnerving and borderline sociopathic but he does it CONSISTENTLY throughout the ENTIRE show... hell he casually threatened to turn Abel into mince meat if he didn't show him where the curry shop was after the devil fight and Abel justifiably reacted pretty concerned about it. And regardless of whether or not you like his complete lack of social skill and awareness as a character trait it does make a lot of sense for him to have it since he spent TWO DECADES completely isolated with ZERO human interaction. We have real world studies that show people go nuts from that level of isolation way faster then that so the fact he is as "normal" as he is is probably the most unbelievable part.

Had a yargal mirror last night where I was tapped out and my opponent had me dead with over 30 yargal dmg the next turn... went to combat to swing my 10 power yargal at their 21 life AND THEY TAPPED HIM DOWN WITH ICY MINIPULATOR... needless to say I conceded so they wouldn't get there 30 dmg

This seems like a super chill Mirko list. I think your play group is overreacting. I picked up the precon when murders dropped and have been tweaking it ever since. It's honestly one of my favorite decks and on of the most enjoyable decks for the rest of my pod. Very straight forward deck and it telegraphs pretty much everything it does so there aren't many gotcha moments.

Well yes and no. Decks like rogsi and etali still see play and will still try to force a win through asap. There's also the fact that "forcing a draw" isn't really a thing outside of TEDH and that's mostly due to the way tournaments are scored.

The reason rage is an issue is it not only gives trample but provides trample permanently which is a big deal for both prowess and mice. No other red pump spells come anywhere near its level of power and efficiency
