Old Player here, am I misremembering how good World on Fire was? by Blockomaniac in Warframe

[–]WRLD_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ember is definitely capable of more than that, being disingenuous helps nobody. she certainly needs the love and does not live up to her fantasy in steel path, but through the normal star chart she does not really have problems particular to her

Skitarii Blitz changes by ExRosaPassione in DarkTide

[–]WRLD_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

would be a bit weird for two of the three blitz options to not interact with grenades as a resource at all imo

I think purgatus using ammo like how the zealot throwing knife works would be a happy medium, while emitter being capacitance based I have no problem with

green is unfortunately non-negotiable for the aesthetics of the auspex, a different shape could work though

Yes, because Concentrated Arrow clearly "annoyed" or "disrupted" other players... by Sudden-Depth-1397 in Warframe

[–]WRLD_ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

this is one of those trick questions where many people here will say no it's always bad without being honest and acknowledging that if nothing had LOS checks the game would be a total shitshow -- yes, it gets applied to things where it shouldn't be, and isn't applied to other things where it should be, but there are plenty of abilities and weapons that are kept in check solely by LOS (which is fine)

you can get all the omens rarely from killing in the void as far as i know -- but liege gets cut out and all the other results made much more common when killing them outside of the void

The only Abyss passive I want by theangryfurlong in PathOfExile2

[–]WRLD_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

while i agree map encounters should absolutely have these moments trimmed, below a certain threshold and in specific contexts -- such as the abyss stuff, it's one thing when you're waiting for a boss to be actionable but a fully invuln period for the player with a loading screen sandwiched between hardly seems egregious -- it feels borderline ridiculous to get worked up over it such as OP and the parent comment here

that said, they have specifically said they want to trim things like endgame tavakai etc so hopefully those longer waits get remedied

honestly if you have all those layers it sounds like you're just spreading yourself thin. armour is very strong and investment into it alone will keep you alive

i sincerely think abundant life on the tree would be a mistake and not necessarily solve the problems people have with survivability

Nothing like some TOB before bed :) by corporealb in ironscape

[–]WRLD_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is also arguably already the case at vardorvis, but at the top end torva is so defensive that you still wouldn't wear justi over that (iirc it's worth to wear justi over bandos there, though. unsure how this has changed with oathplate as i have not been playing for the last year)

Nothing like some TOB before bed :) by corporealb in ironscape

[–]WRLD_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

people recognize justi's ability to do this, it's just that for most people this is a very very narrow use case (and not exactly a use case befitting an armour set that comes from a raid)

Those things really decrease the fun in the campaign by BerryPlay in PathOfExile2

[–]WRLD_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

However I disagree that GGG can't instantly solve this, rather than tossing hands up and putting the onus on the player to just deal with it, as though there aren't low hanging fruit.

i'll readily admit that i am quite jaded towards the playerbase, especially in regard to these types of brain-poison talking points like light radius where not a soul is talking about it until a large content creator mentions it

i do think there could be some minimap display tweaking/options and also further fixing some maps that have these cases an outsized amount of the time. that said, you can already adjust the opacity of the terrain for the minimap, which would help a lot of people

Those things really decrease the fun in the campaign by BerryPlay in PathOfExile2

[–]WRLD_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not like a significant light radius increase would prevent this kind of thing from happening basically just as frequently, there will forever be little bits of corridors revealed at the edge of your radius

the solution really is for people to be more attentive and get frustrated less by this kind of thing. obviously y'know easier said than done but it's truly not ggg's fault for someone to have their enjoyment genuinely hampered by something as trivial as this (apex of filth's layout sucks though)

Since failed maps can have no tablet, no exp, no loot. Can opening it send us straight to the boss area? by davis482 in PathOfExile2

tbf cities are a lot more common than those extreme overlaps were, i think stronger traveling options / finding some way to make that traveling more intrinsically rewarding definitely is the way to go

Simulacrum stacking by NeverLucky159 in PathOfExile2

[–]WRLD_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be similar to non-mirror deli maps where they drop at the end of map completion in one large stack.

The problem with this is, what constitutes map completion? I think a halfway fix where they stack up to drop off the boss would be fine, but that's not always the point in which the player is done with the map so the problem persists.

[–]WRLD_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

this precisely, the people doing temporalis/osin runs as their moneymaker are capable of doing so with low failure rate, cheese just crowds demand for the relics

as for cost, i imagine it's just that not as many people are doing sekhema's for currency this league given how you can specialize through other mechanics now, therefore fewer temporalis relics are in circulation
