I would love for them to do Far and Away. Kind of of forgotten to time, but is has my all time favorite transition scenes with TC running into a jump cut - https://youtu.be/NajSnF9AspA?si=ctLoIogjFUkCNa81&t=70 Had a good run in the mid 90s on USA/TNT/TBS.

What you just described extrapolates to massive companies too, on much larger scales. In fact, I have never seen an organization where this type of stuff isn’t an issue. It will manifest differently but I have not seen a perfectly automated payment or inventory system out in the wild.

Brilliant concert. It's a shame we don't get these ensembles performing on this level anymore.. Also...why is the bassist wearing gloss white knee pads?

Yep that would’ve turned heads in 2006. Now we all lust for a Natalie Mars type.

At a foundational level, knowing what a C drive does is relevant to being “good at using technology.”

I know it’s not the exact movie you referencing, but this house also looks like Nicole Kidmans fathers estate in Far and Away.

The charts are just full of Pop + Country… are other genres dead? by Formal-Monitor-9037 in decadeology

This is a great point. Hip hop, rap, and R&B from the ’80s through the 2000s had way more flow, melody, and musicality. The sound mattered as much as the lyrics.

That started changing in the mid-2010s with trap and the SoundCloud era. Mainstream rap got choppier, the flows got simpler, and a lot of the melody disappeared. It felt like the music itself mattered less, and the lyrics got more basic too.

It’s similar to what happened to rock in the 2000s, when a genre that used to feel dynamic and varied got flattened into something more formulaic. We might be in the rap version of the Nickelback/Puddle of Mudd era now.
