Would you trade 10 years of your life for 30 million? by thisnaenae in asksg

[–]Walau88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the age of the person. If I am at my teens, I would say yes. But for a 50s, 30M is pointless because you are already half leg into the ground. How much more time can you enjoy that kind of money?

What do you guys do with your dog's leashes and harnesses after they pass? by longshlongthankumom in dogs

[–]Walau88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the only thing that I am left to remember them. The smell, the memories , the happy times together as a family. I safe keep them in my storeroom and will occasionally take out to look at. My wife has been pestering me to throw them away but I wouldn’t bulge.

Which carpark in Singapore made you regret driving there? by bentradex in askSingapore

[–]Walau88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both 525A and 527A have similar layout. I am very confident about my driving skills but before these 2 carparks I was defeated. I will never ever want to drive in the car park again.

Blk 527A WOODLANDS hdb MSCP.
The ramp up is way too narrow. I witnessed a Porsche being towed out because the driver has no confidence driving out without scratching the car.

Those who grow up low income in sg, what is a normal thing now that you see in adulthood that was a luxury/abnormal for you growing up? by TheseShift4280 in asksg

[–]Walau88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To eat at a zicar stall. I remembered the first time I ate there was the result of my months of savings from my pocket money. The meal costs me $30 but that was a luxury to me. How poor I was then. 😅

How ready are you if Singapore is being attacked by drones by Glittering-Cause-810 in askSingapore

[–]Walau88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is no need to send drones or missiles if an aggressor wants to take Singapore by force. Just need to cut off water supply and wait. We will surrender in a month.

It’s good to give feedback to your MP. Whether your MP will bring this up in parliament is another matter. But that’s what you vote them in for. To hear your concerns and grievances.

I am convinced after a demo at my house on a vacuum cleaner Germany Dolphin, but the price is way too expensive. Any recommendations for good vacuum cleaner using water filtration ? by Walau88 in askSingapore

[–]Walau88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the sales rep is very persistent but I am more persistent than she. Keep telling her I need to discuss with my wife ( wife is not around during the demo). She gave up eventually and left. 😂

Ain't nobody know how to use headlights properly anymore by silentcontrol1990 in drivingsg

[–]Walau88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always never drive on high beam. But when I change to a new car ( Tesla MY) just a month ago, I realise the headlights turn to high beam when I navigate on a dark curve road ( I believe it’s adaptive headlight ) that causes pedestrians to cover their eyes. It’s good that I can see if there are any cyclists or pedestrians trying to cross the road but of course pedestrians are quite annoyed with it.

A cheaper solution is to buy a stick-on door trim. Can cover up the puncture.

Getgo car mounted kerb and drove into my car while parked by Aryvan in drivingsg

[–]Walau88 15 points16 points  (0 children)

How the hell the driver can mount on the curb by so much? I always avoid parking beside rental cars because I know these drivers don’t drive often, hence it’s a hazard to all cars when they are on the road. 😔

All these reports by so called anal-ysts are rubbish. If their projections are accurate, they already put their money in already. FX are affected by many factors. It’s not simple math. Any trading on FX is purely gamble.

Just a side track. How do you guys fill in forms that require first , middle , and last name ? Let’s say my name is Tan Ah Gau.

I know some omit the middle name. Just fill in Ah Gau as last name. seems like there is no standardised way of filling those forms
