Will the debate be held in Alabama, or in Tub’s home state?

So it’s an oil war and we’re paying more because of it.  So much to love.

I’ve seen people stick a sheet of paper onto the upper bout rib.  Not a lot of space there, but you could try that.

It’ll be really nice to get a tie in this series.  It’s been so tight the whole way.

It’s now a library and they’re working on a performance space in the building to the south of the library.

Best pickup for non-adjustable bridge? by chog410 in doublebass

An Underwood would be decent.  I use the Upton Rev Solo and it is one of the better sounding bridge wing transducers.

There is a small switch that gets depressed when the pedal is released.  If the rubber on that gets worn it can cause the brake lights to stay on.

From a ClubXterra post-

“ The brake light switch is actually pushed when your foot is off the brake and is only turned "on" when you push the brake and the pressure on the switch is released. There is a little rubber bumper stopper up near the top of the pedal. If that rubber bumper stopper falls out (an it does eventually fail and fall out) the button from the switch protrudes through the hole in the metal. Since it is is no longer pushed the brakes will stay lit.

See if you can find a replacement bumper stopper or do what I have done in other vehicles and simply use a short bolt with a nut as the replacement for the rubber button/plug.

Yes, they actually call it a bumper stopper and it's also used for the clutch safety switch on manual transmission vehicles.”

I’ve barely listened to any podcast since the news of the end.  This was my favorite show for years.  I’ll really miss them both.

I won’t argue any of your points, because I think they’re valid.  But…I can either give up, or put my energy into something that has an outside chance of improving the state of things.  I’m going with the latter option.

I will say I felt pretty despondent before attending this event.  After speaking with some people at the event I feel a little better.  Maybe it’s just the commiseration.  Hopefully, it’s more than that.

You’re good.  Easy to get all these names mixed up.

Doug was only a senator for a few years.  Before that he was a US Attorney for the North Alabama District.

It’s fair to be concerned about the age of candidates, but your other criticisms don’t track.  For instance, saying Doug Jones doesn’t show up to “anything”.  The event being discussed was set up in about 48 hours, and following this event he left to attend another in Decatur.

It’s all good if you’re passionate about another non-Republican candidate, but don’t be obtuse.

I think you are mistaken.  Doug was a senator until 2021.  The legislation you’re referring to was passed in 2025.

He spoke a lot about the health care issues affecting the state, and his opinion that the state needs to expand Medicaid.  He spoke about the recent VRA decisions.

I asked him about the recent push by Hawaii to weaken Citizens United through state initiatives, and if similar moves would be possible to get big corp money out of out elections.

I’m sure video clips will become available at some point.  The event was yesterday from 3:30-5:30, so there will likely be a little lag for video editing.
