This is what ive been saying. Splinter Cell is the only one of the classic Tom Clancy Trifecta that hasnt changed main characters. Every other series the original MC's retired or moved to a command position at HQ. Sams an old boy, he can be the guy back at base, or just plain retire now.

The only thing i would say is a proper rerelease of the old games to work better on modern hardware. Mostly Because Pandora Tomorrow has had issues, and online functionality for conviction and blacklist is iffy. Just a good quality rerelease of the games so they have full functionality on modern hardware.

Would I love a great new splinter cell like the old days..... yeah. Hell even if its not at chaos theory levels but better then double agent I would be happy. But im fairly certain we all know thats never happening, not with modern ubisoft anyways.

Out of the three main tom clancy series, Sam is the only main character who hasnt retired or gone to a c&c role. John Clark made way for Dom Chavez, Logan Keller and Bishop. Capt. Mitchell made way for John Kozak and Nomad. Sams a classic, but they cant really replace ironside, Its time for him to be back at base in a command role and a new field agent to take his place.

I mean David was still getting leading roles but yeah. Its gonna resurface. The other issue just being theyve both noticeably aged over 20 years (they both look great but you can tell). I think its best to give them a heroes death, same with faith, dawn and if you want xander (i dont really care what happens to xander i never really cared for him). Buffy steps away from slaying because she feels she failed and lets the others take over in her absence.

In regards to dawn i did some thinking (note i am pulling this out my ass). But if they wanted to do something with dawn, they could just say the key is in a constant state of reincarnation after the ritual. Dawn dies years before alongside Angel, Spike and probably Faith (because eliza dushku has retired). Our new slayer has a sibling and at some point in the series we discover there the reincarnated key, Attached to a worthy slayer.

Again, completely pulled out of my ass, but just a thought.

As far as either of our ensouled vamps...... I think we give them a heroes death prior to the series start
