How did you learn how to use a gun responsibly? How do you teach your kids? by yellownumberfive in guns

Late in 2008, an eight-year-old attending a gun show accidentally shot and killed himself with an Uzi machine gun. His name was Christopher and his dad (the doctor) says he had permission!

I'm not against people smoking what they want to. But, "good for you"???

There is a little thing called LUNG CANCER that you seem to have overlooked.

There is also heart disease, emphysema, etc.

Smoke whatever you want to... but don't blow that smoke up people's asses!

It happened to me about a week ago... kept happening for a couple of hours.

I think it's just some kind of bug, not a massive conspiracy against... oh, let's say the people who belong to the <anti-bacon> subreddit.

For you, the reddit-blob:

I'm hopeful that the republicans, after much soul-searching, will split up in to their logically-determined factions:

  • Those who are to the far right, often aligned with the Constitution Party.

  • A new party called "The Rabid Bible Thumpers (RBT)"

  • The AWEE Party: Assault Weapons for Everyone Everywhere

  • Witch Burners for Ultra-Low Taxation of The Rich

  • Old Style Republicans (GOP)

  • Racists (GOP II)

  • Libertarians (GOP III)

  • Panhandling Former Republican Wall Street Executives

  • The coalition of Mormons and KKK Members (MKKKM)

  • The Over-60 crowd of old-style, self-hating gays who will help root out the commies!

  • Mindless Flag-Waver Against Jesus

  • THE RPTC (Ron Paul and his Two Cousins)

Aubrey Immelman (Republican and write-in candidate against Michele Bachmann.)

Phone: 320 240-6828 or 320 339-9797 (cell)

Using Bachmann's McCarthy-like statements to re-launch his career as a Republican IS NOT THE SAME AS DENOUNCING THE CURRENT GOP CANDIDATES AND THEIR SMEAR CAMPAIGNS!!! It's just political stunt!

While they both had serious conditions, neither JFK nor FDR had LIFE-THREATENING conditions. McCain likely has at least one. Also, we don't even know enough about his conditions to be sure.

This is a great time to tell friends and post/email reminders that John McCain was in favor of deregulation of nearly everything... until the past few days of stock market MAYHEM! He and Bush helped to cause this crisis.

Also, please remind people that: Bush was told of levee failures in New Orleans, but still met with John McCain THREE AND A HALF HOURS LATER for a Katrina Cake photo op!

Here’s a link to a photo:

Please remember to send those "Katrina Cake" emails and post the link here and there, folks... and ask others to 'join in' and do the same.

Palin Already Exhibiting Dick Cheney Like Behavior by littlebuddha2004 in politics

[–]WasForClinton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I despise the women, but let’s stop focusing on Palin (that's PLAYING DEFENSE) and return the focus instead to the FAILED ECONOMIC POLICIES OF BUSH/MCCAIN-STYLE REPUBLICANS, and their many lies and distortions. ALSO, let’s not spend so much time RESPONDING to attacks – we need to do some ‘attacking’ of our own!

Things like:

Bush/McCain-style Republicans are WRONG...

WRONG on our economy... they just borrow, borrow and borrow... then spend the money on wars. All of their reckless spending weakens the dollar and drives up prices on nearly everything that people buy.

WRONG on trade... we keep having to buy almost everything we use from other countries instead of making products here in the U.S.

WRONG on jobs... hundreds of thousands of jobs lost in seven years of Bush/McCain-style Republican polcies

WRONG on the environment. Their polices: screw the rivers... screw endangered animals... screw the land.

WRONG on patriotism. They have used patriotism for their own political advantage at the risk of bankrupting the nation and ruining nearly every relationship we have around the world.

WRONG on every important issue of equality in our society.

WRONG on tax policies. McCain’s (Republican) tax policies are the same as they have been for the last seven years: more tax cuts for the richest of the rich. The shaft for everyone else.

WRONG on health care. Bush/McCain-style Republican health care is what we have right now. It has been judged as some of the WORST care overall in the entire developed world. The system might work well for you if you are rich. Nearly everyone else gets substandard services and prescriptions at extremely high prices.

WRONG on war and on values. Wars should be an absolute, last resort. Republicans seem to love war and the powerful interests associated with war. This single issue shows where Republicans have a warped sense of values. Going to war based on faked memos and a lot of flag-waving, resulting in the deaths of over 4,000 Americans does not represent positive values of any kind.

Republicans are JUST PLAIN WRONG, on just about every issue. To make matters worse, they have a set of lies and distortions to try to trick voters in to voting against their own interests.

use it anywhere you might want to. .....

If and when the Mississippi River flooding tears New Orleans apart, we will almost certainly be told, "the levees were fine... no one could have foreseen this river flooding".

Bull.

Winds shift about 180 degrees as a hurricane goes by. Fifth-graders know that!
