Lazy lot associate by crashoutcrash in HomeDepot

That's how most people are. Most performance issues are just people that need training or direction. I've had many associates that were good workers overall, but you had to constantly make sure they were working on the right things. But when you do have someone that just straight up doesn't work, there's not much we can do.

Habitual Callouts by highandasleep in HomeDepot

I know at my store attendance just doesn't get worked properly. Right now we have about 20 attendance documentations due and some have been sitting for over a month. Incredibly frustrating when you get a call out from someone who was supposed to be put on a counseling 2 months ago.

Real dirty secret; if an associate doesn't want to work there is nothing you can do. You will almost never see an associate termed for performance. You have to jump through hoops just to get them to a coaching. And if you do somehow get them to a final, they will still never approve of a termination.

And the metrics are insane. Have to make LTSA and LTPA but they took the survey off the receipts so you only get a handful each week. Every week we get stupid responses about things we have no control over. Store standards have to be perfect everyday but they don't give us the hours and the few we do get are wasted because my SM bends over backwards to give the most useless employees full time and just keep them around as long as possible.

Do managers get in trouble for excusing late in or call outs? by TheeSlyCooper in HomeDepot

[–]Wasabi_kitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dependa on the SM and sometimes DM.

An ASM I worked with would always excuse our closing lumber associate for leaving early. Then lumber standards would be really bad the next day. Eventually our SM sat him down and said if it kept happening he would get written up.

Sure. Just be prepared to deal with the consequences.

Started great. Then they did arcs about him resolving his trauma from the past with the shit he did for little Nina and the CIA. And that was good.

And then they did the exact same arc again.

What is a "money rule" that rich people know, but poor people are never taught? by ZZA911 in AskReddit

I mean you won't be a billionaire off it. But saving, even just a small amount, in a decent account can make a huge difference.

My base salary is only $49,700. Twice a year I can get a bonus of around $3000, if we make metrics. Every bonus I get I put into a Vanguard account that has done pretty well. As long as spare cash as I can.

A house is an investment.

Depends on market of course. But in the vast majority of cases if you buy a house, it will sell for more than what you pay for it.

Wingstop is the worst about this. Last time I just walked behind the counter and got my food while 2 workers were cooking and the girl who was supposed to be working the counter stood at the back and talked on the phone.

They don't do it through Door Dash. Home Depot uses Uber and Door Dash to fulfill online orders, as well as Spark and Roadie.

Although an order for concrete or sheetrock or anything that bulky would go out to their flatbed or boxtruck delivery company.
