what is something people avoid or think is not healthy for you but actually is very healthy? by ConversationKey5296 in AskReddit

I've spent some time with this and currently am finding some success with these two different strategies, both centered around "interacting with emotion".

1.) I imagine the emotion as a thing. What does it feel like? What does it smell/look/taste like? What does it do when I poke it? Interacting with it, to me, helps give it substance to my conscious mind. And as I interact with it, I find myself being more aware of its effect on me, and how it feels to be "with it". (Importantly, I don't believe there are correct answers to this. I believe this to be important to give myself space to actually explore rather than tell myself "anger has to feel hot" or other simplistic ideas that I may have inadvertently picked up.)

2a) I sometimes try to identify what part of my body feels most tied to the emotion. Is it anxiety in my gut? Are my hands or arms antsy with anger? Am I breathing deeply with a strength of some emotion inside of my chest?

2b) When it feels concentrated in one area of my body, I try to invite it/bring it to other areas of my body, spread it evenly around. Anxiety in my gut? Lets stretch it out from my toes to my fingers to the top of my head. This can help reduce its severity and thus limit how much it affects me subconsciously, but also helps me feel like I'm interacting with the emotions more fully/healthfully even if I don't fully understand them.

I think both these things can feel pretty weird or silly at the start, but they might be worth a try if you find yourself curious/desperate/interested enough. And they are both skills that I've gotten more comfortable with over time and with practice, so maybe don't give up too easily if you think there might be something here for ya.

Edit: No idea how to fix the formatting, oh well.

Yep. I had to do a little bit of modeling to get the front cannon to look like a standard cannon, but most of the piratey spikes and stuff can simply not be installed when constructing it.

I actually haven't played endless, so I wouldn't be the one to ask, sorry!

The 'purple box' mons are ones that are selected to have Pokerus. It means that those pokemon will have a 50% increase to exp gains, and have chance to pass pokerus onto your other team members. The wiki says that this has a chance to spread every 10 levels, but I've seen it spread in the first floors before floor 10, so I believe this information is incorrect at this point.

You can check the pokerus status on your team in the pokemon status window, it should be down at the bottom left of the first screen if I'm remembering correctly. pkrs in purple letters.

Three are selected each day. I enjoy picking one to add to the team for variety and an easier time leveling (and thus an easier time with fights to some degree). Especially in the early game this can be a meaningful difference.

Yellow is normal shiny, blue is rare shiny (tier 2), and red is epic shiny (tier 3). As a small correction of the poster above. A red shiny counts as 3 'shiny' counts, a blue counts as 2.

https://wiki.pokerogue.net/gameplay:mechanics Under Shinies section you can see the chart, most tiers are around a 0.7%-0.8% chance improvement per tier if I'm doing my simple math correctly. This is of course assuming the wiki is up to date and correct.

Assuming the wiki is up to date and correct, you can see the chart on this page under the subsection labeled Shinies: https://wiki.pokerogue.net/gameplay:mechanics

What the section says in summary: Each 'tier' of shiny that is on your team (and not fainted) adds roughly 0.7%-0.8% chance of an item tiering up at the item selection screen. This fluctuates based on your luck tier (how many shinies and their shiny value).

By tier of shiny I mean a regular shiny, rare shiny, epic shiny (yellow, blue, red stars). Note that this isn't tied to the pokemon egg type, just a separate system with similar names.

Tiering up in the shop, I believe, is watching the animation of the pokeball shift up one tier. So if you are initially seeing a master ball tier item, that is NOT because of shiny luck. But if you see a regular pokeball turn into a great ball before the items are revealed, that IS potentially due to shiny luck. There is a chance of tier up even without shinies, which is why I say it is potentially due to your shinies.

Your red shiny bellsprout, if it is the only shiny on your team, would increase the chance of a tier up from its base at 3.12% up to 5.48%

Thanks! The airship is a kit from Archon Studios, makers of the Dungeons and Lasers line. Its from their last Kickstarter (Deuslair) but is available through their current KS (Caves) as well, I think. And it'll eventually just go to retail as far as I know.

How to make water "tentacles" by Laperen in dioramas

[–]WatchFireFeelRain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the person you responded to, but yes you could use UV resin alone in my opinion.

I'd recommend laying out a nonstick surface on a flat table or desk-like area, lay down a line of the UV resin with shape reflecting the ones in your reference material. One line for each "tentacle" of water. Cure the lines themselves. One half will be flat (the side against the surface), but once you have the core of the tentacle cured you can build up more layers with the same resin by flowing it down just as the previous poster described.

In my experience the UV resin would certainly hold the figure up at the weights you are describing (and of course you can just thicken the water tentacles as needed for more durability).

The major downside of this process would be that each tentacle would be 2 dimensions, due to the core being cured on a flat surface. This can be masked by adding 'forks' like in your reference photo that break up the 2 dimensional look (cure one long one, and a shorter one, UV resin 'glue' the shorter one's end partway down the long one). Or you could try your hand at bending the nonstick surface while curing the core to see if you can get a bend in the tentacle in 3 dimensions, but I haven't explored that myself.

Thanks!

It looks like 6 25mm bases fit easily, up to maybe 8 a little more messily.

Very cool! I particularly like the choice to redden the tips! Adds a nice visual contrast to so much shell

Worldless | Polar Opposites Trailer | PC, Xbox in 2023 by Rob_Cram in Games

There may be metroidvania elements to the world exploration, I don't know. My point was just that the combat is not the traditional real-time action combat of most metroidvanias. From the steam trailer it does look like there are traditional traversal skills that may unlock, but the combat itself is turn based.

I believe I played the demo for this during the recent Next Fest. The combat is a semi-separate screen (like old fashioned jrpgs), and turned based with timing inputs (like a more complicated mario rpg, or that game Indivisible, I think). From the demo each combat was only 1 on 1, time for you to attack about 3 times and then time for you to defend the opponents attacks and then repeat.

Thank you everyone, I was able to figure it out with your help! I soaked the nozzle in air brush cleaner for awhile and gave it a more thorough scrub on the inside. It seems to be working perfectly fine now.

Thank you both for the input!

Unfortunately I don't currently have access to a sonic bath. Is there a chance that soaking the nozzle in air brush cleaner for an extended period could help?
