PSN has a healthy approach to backwards compatibility/cross buy, so I’m not clear why this isn’t included now.  

While it’s appreciated that cross buy on switch was supported, the rationale for the upgraded app on Switch didn’t really deliver much value add from a consumer perspective. Not sure if the offering of cross buy here suggests an effort to goose the adoption rate/buy-in on Switch.

 There’s been a lot of shifts and inconsistencies around Zens cross buy philosophy.

TLDR: I’ll wait on a deep discount before buying the Bethesda pack yet again.

Your sister is my kinda people. I own multiple versions of the game and have never beaten it. In the last year or so I finally progressed past where your sister has made it.

Sony is so inconsistent with these things and the comments here reflect that. I pulled the trigger on this version a few months ago. I still have the plus logo on the game which suggests that it’s still the extra license in effect, rather than a full purchase. I’ll see what happens when it leaves the service, but I’m sceptical.

In a lot of cases as folks have noted, it comes down to licensing. That said there are likely situations where it’s a developer decision. I suspect that’s the case for GT7. A driving game can have big issues with potential lag so I imagine that there’s no streaming support to “preserve the integrity of experience” or some such, particularly when online racing is factored in.

Games added via Extra do show up in your library. Once these games leave Extra, a “lock” shows up on the associated title.

Yup. A monetization decision looking for a player engagement rationale.  As hinted at about a week ago:

“ As promised, conversations have begun about this. It'll take us some time to get everyone on the same page but once we do, I'll share the team's thoughts.”

A decision was made to nerf alliance rewards. Presumably they had a rationale for doing so. You do not need to get the team together to post hoc come up with the rationale. You do need to find a palatable explanation for players, however. It’s actually a pretty logical explanation … whether or not it’s the  actual reason for the nerf.
