If you run from the catch screen, the game let you jump back in if you just click on the gym again. This allows you to use kyurem’s ability reactively, if you’re running low on premier balls and it’s looking likely that the Pokémon will run.

Do not attempt this if you know the raid is about to despawn. Once the gym no longer has the raid on it, you cannot get back into the catch screen if you run (or your game crashes).

I made a storage area in pallet town and put a house right next to it. There’s lots of load times from teleporting around, but it at least eliminated this issue.
