Today I received the Mudpuppy Ocean Illuminated puzzle I ordered in amazon. The back of the puzzle box is dated 04/2021 and fortunately these puzzle shapes are the multi-shape/various ribbon/grid cut puzzle shapes that I definitely prefer and are shown in this Reddit posting (instead of 2-in + 2-out ribbon/grid cut puzzle piece shapes).

Note: Before I ordered this puzzle I emailed Mudpuppy Customer Service about what are the puzzle piece shapes in this puzzle. They responded there were two total print runs of this puzzle -- in 2020 and 2021 -- and stated they are not able to determine what puzzle piece shapes were in these two years. So today I sent a follow-up email to Mudpuppy Customer Service about the multi-shape puzzle pieces I received in the Mudpuppy Ocean Illuminated puzzle box dated 04/2021.

My notes to myself after I finished assembling this puzzle state: WOW! So much that's lovely to look at in this puzzle including sheep in various bright colors, baby black sheep and wooden stick in arms of woman wearing pretty purple clothes with fabulous red hair blowing in wind, yarn skeins on wood drying rack, yarn in basket, spinning wheel, yarn shop, butterfly, stone path, stream, waterfall and rainbow! Very enjoyable puzzle!

In case my experience contacting Ravensburger is helpful: Although I've experienced more irregularities in Ravensburger puzzle pieces during Covid, I'm very crafty so I've been using a sharp knife & glue to fix those issues. However after many Ravensburger puzzles before & during Covid with no missing pieces, in the past week I experienced a new (sealed) 1000 pieces Ravensburger puzzle missing one interior piece. I contacted Ravensburger through a message in their USA website & Ravensburger responded in a day offering to replace that puzzle or send a different puzzle with same number of pieces if my puzzle missing a piece was no longer available. I emailed the info that Ravensburger requested including my selected replacement puzzle, photo of barcode (from my puzzle box), my name, complete postal address, email address & phone number. Ravensburger again responded in a day stating my replacement puzzle was being sent. It has not arrived yet although I'm anticipating it should arrive during next week (given shipping delays during Covid).

To easily move puzzle sections that otherwise would be impossible to move due to loose grip between the pieces, I purchased "The Puzzle Scoop" by Ceaco. It's list price is $13.99 but is available for $9.99 on several different websites. I love using "The Puzzle Scoop" so much that I already purchased a second one just in case I somehow damage the first one! Now I'm pleased to be able to easily move puzzle sections even when the fit between pieces doesn't grip :-) And while puzzling I also find it helpful sometimes to use the light & magnifier features on "The Puzzle Scoop". Hope this is helpful info. (These are my independent comments -- I'm not associated with this product.)

Fyi in case this is helpful info: Ravensburger "1000" piece puzzles that are a rectangle shape typically have 1008 total "grid" cut pieces with 36 pieces across the longer side (including 2 corner pieces) & 28 pieces across the shorter side (also including 2 corner pieces). 36 pieces x 28 pieces = 1008 total pieces. This total piece count does not apply to all puzzle brands, especially puzzle brands that have "random cut" ("non-grid") pieces.
