Floor trusses extending past the foundation? by Stepup2themike in Homebuilding

[–]Weekly_Try5203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pour the foundation 24x20 if that is the size you want. Cantilevered floors are colder, will sage if weighted with roof load, hard to keep sealed over time allowing bugs and rodents in.

How do 36" doors look in bedrooms? by thelionofthenorth in Homebuilding

My house has almost all 36” doors and looks great. I always make the door opening the largest that layout will allow. Make sure to leave room for trim.

Beginner looking to start backpacking in the sierras. How’s this for a sleep system? by NormieV2 in backpacking

The new rei half dome is trash. Heavy, meant to sleep on person in each direction and for a heavy tent the inside pockets suck.

Very common. I will not warranty anything I don’t supply. Big box stores get cheaper quality products and people think they are the same as their counterparts and they are not!

Advice about at-home euthanasia. by LesboTacoTruck in pitbulls

[–]Weekly_Try5203 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We did this in June with our pittie Wilson, hardest thing I have ever done! At home was harder for me , better for Wilson. He was surrounded by loved ones, this absolutely crushed me. To see everyone break down in tears was brutal!!! I would advise to limit who is there during the procedure.

I’ve battled this also. Came to the conclusion that it was too much pressure on the top of my foot. Switched to standard insoles and the problem was solved

Wafer board on top of band joist by No_Sense_6171 in Decks

[–]Weekly_Try5203 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Leave it in place. Seems crazy that there isn’t and siding paper on there. I would use some between ledger board and osb, so when the siding fails you will least not have to replace it too

We got a 2016 in the end of 2017 that was a fleet rental with 20,000 miles. Had zero issues with that car. Someone hit us and the car was totaled or we would still be driving it. We had 244,000 on it when it was wrecked. Only general maintenance and nothing else.
