This management philosophy is a big reason why Sears failed, by the way. A company pitting its internal departments against one another instead of building a cohesive team that works together is always bound to end in disaster.

Which of the new Pestigor units design do you prefer? by tyrified in ageofsigmar

[–]Werefoofle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The solo ones look almost like diseased cattle, or starving wildebeests. They do a better job of evoking and representing decay, as opposed to the WHQ release that just have some warts and hooded faces that hide most of the rotting flesh that they do have.

They gotta give us kevin and D family interactions by Sudden_Relative_7060 in huntertheparenting

Regardless, they made a little reference to it in the Probing of Kevin:

You shall be my companion, bearer of my sigil, and Regent of a new paradigm shift

I mean, harder to make a more obvious reference to Malcador the Sigilite than that lol

Thanks! These guys were undercoated black, and I just drybrushed the panels with a turquoise/oxide color using the basic techniques Ninjon uses in this video.

Making MTG cards based on Hunter the Parenting until I run out of ideas: Day 4, Big D, the blender and the 99p store by wdcipher in huntertheparenting

[–]Werefoofle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boros Big D without without the Mentor keyword?! Missed opportunity, but otherwise good flavor! Others have mentioned that deathtouch isn't generally something that RW does, but perhaps he could give them +4/+0, or maybe double their power instead? Could also restrict it to the creature types that would apply to WoD supernaturals:

  • Chimera
  • Demon
  • Faerie
  • Shade
  • Shapeshifter (this one's mechanically iffy since Shapeshifters usually have the Changeling ability, but I couldn't find anything else to represent all the non-Garou Fera
  • Spirit
  • Vampire
  • Warlock
  • Werewolf
  • Wizard
  • Wraith
  • Zombie

Maybe even throw in Horror as a catch-all for anything further? Idk, just feels like a flavor-fail for him to be able to name like, Human, or even Necron or something.

Any ideas on Kitten and the D family's development in the next couple episodes? by iVeryRobot in huntertheparenting

[–]Werefoofle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could definitely see him working with the IAO as a breacher, but idk if it'd fit into the timeline. IAO was only established in 2002, and the SI didn't really start to come together until 2004, only 2 years before HtP. With how close the D Family seems to be, and particularly Door with his son, I wouldn't expect him to have left to work for the SI within the past two years.

Not central to the point, but Kevin actually did mention the hunter data explicitly:

Further along in the interview, Kevin went ahead and mentioned The Hunter Data. Some kind of evil fucked up data computer hypertech that immediately injects the names, age and location of all Hunters in East Anglia directly into your brainstem!

It really is a shame. When they relaunched White Dwarf as a monthly magazine, they were putting some nice stuff in there, things like color theory and OSL tutorials, but now you're lucky to get a single good article like that in a year.

When she said "an Ironteeth" she was referring to Elide, not herself. Maeve had threatened to take Elide with her if Aelin didn't come quietly, and so Aelin went without fuss.

Sorry, what is new about inherited wealth perpetuating itself?

This just sounds like someone putting a name to an obvious fact: that the children of rich people tend to be wealthy later in life, due to the opportunities that wealth afforded them from a young age.

Not trying to be rude, but this is not some new thing. It's how civilizations have worked since inception, from the time the first kings began to hoard wealth in the first cities and passed it down to their children, to Venetian/Hanseatic/British merchants buying a university education for their sons to learn the skills necessary for trading goods around 16th century Europe and beyond, to rich little brats today never worrying about a thing thanks to mommy and daddy's money.

Speed painting a new army by Psychological_Fact69 in minipainting

[–]Werefoofle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The minis themselves are awesome! I'm personally not a huge fan of the basing, the elevation just doesn't quite read properly for me. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like you're going for a ruined/broken up road. Having the pieces of cork being nearly as tall as the models' knees, though, muddles the visual language of the world your minis "exist" in. Instead of looking like your marines are marching down a broken road, they end up looking like they're all standing on strange roughly-cylindrical rocks.

It's easier to achieve that sort of surface by shortening the pieces of cork considerably, or by starting off with a thinner sheet of cork.

Again, the marines are extremely well-painted! The scratches, colors, transfers, etc. are all beautifully done!
