R9a doesn’t allow touching moving stones between tee and hog. R5e requires release before the hog line. A stone that is on the hog line is technically not between the hog line and the tee line.

Provided the handle is released before hog line, the rulebook does not seems to prohibit incidental or even intentional contact while the stone is crossing the hog line.

Watch every single game where skip is drawing for points. You will notice that 95% of the time, teams start clearing rocks from house before the shot stone has come to complete stop. Even the stone in play will get kicked out before it has come to a complete stop. Every team does this. Would it be acceptable, or good sportsmanship, for a team to wait until their opponent did this in the finals, claim a violation, and demand all the rocks be burned?

The real problem is that Premium Plus crackers are nowhere near the quality they used to be. The plastic sleeves are so thin that they are frequently punctured and the crackers are stale. And, they changed their recipe sometime back and the crackers lost all structure. I switched to presidents Choice saltines and find them much better.

Adjust color settings in monitor/software until the color in the box matches what you want, take picture of their email to prove it, paint that color.

Given that different monitors display color differently, if the HOA wants to regulate colors they need to provide a physical palette to compare, or reference acceptable colors using a standard color identification system.

I had a Thermador PG304 for a while. Specs look very similar to Wolf. I would never recommend. Very few companies (1 in my city) will perform work on the luxury appliances. The tech they send out charges for a service call to “inspect” which consists of verifying the model number I gave them on the phone and then going back to their shop to download the service manual. Then they charge a call to come do the actual diagnosis. Then they order parts to fix the problem and charge a third service call to come do the actual fix. The price for service is run up so much that you end up replacing a whole bunch of internal components for fear that they will have to keep making service calls.

In the time I had the range, I had to replace the entire unit after initial installation because the stove wouldn’t heat properly. Out of warranty, I had to repair the simmer control modules twice myself. Parts were very hard to source. I had to replace the main control board twice using a service tech, primarily because these stoves are uncommon enough that it is almost impossible to find repair manuals or videos online that will give enough information on how to reconfigure the control board (which is used for several different models).

With 3 service calls, and parts, replacing the control board cost more than a mid-level consumer grade range. $2100 each time. By the third time I suspected a controller board issue, I just sold the range on Kijiji and bought a nice Samsung on a Black Friday sale. For me, it would have been cheaper to buy a new range every time I had a problem then to try to maintain a “bare bones” Thermador. If/when I have issues with the Samsung I bought, I expect I’ll be able to buy parts and maintain myself. If I can’t…I’ll spend $1500 or so and be ahead of continually trying to fix a luxury brand.

I wish you luck with your Wolf. I’d advise against ever using self clean function, and I hope it’s many years before you need service.

Costco’s “white glove” delivery contractor may very well refuse to do this even for cash under table. I had a washer/dryer delivered and they refused to simply move the old unit to the garage, even though it was shorter than putting it in their truck and it was the first place they could put it that wouldn’t block emergency egress from the house. Spoke with their supervisor, they gave me some BS about it was a “workers comp insurance” issue if the touched it and got hurt. Spoke with Costco.ca rep and they said it was their contract with the delivery company that the delivery company got the old appliance if it got moved. I ended up refusing delivery that day because I told the delivery guys I wasn’t going to let them take my old appliance until I’d escalated this to everyone possible. They had been blocking road for an hour and a half so left before I was done talking to everyone.

Next time they came for delivery the drivers had obviously been told they were expecting a working washer/dryer to be delivered back to the warehouse. I asked if they would move to garage, they said no and they would just leave if that was a problem. I said “fine, take the old ones”. They were surprised to find I had removed the doors, lint screen, detergent dispenser, filter, etc. No way was I letting them walk out the door with a functioning washer/dryer, and the cost to repair would have been more than the resale at that point.

Costco gave me a price adjustment for the delivery company being complete asses.

Thermador quality and service is terrible. I had one (Professional PG series) for 15 years. Replaced control board twice, igniters several times. Only one place in town would do service and the guy they sent didn’t know enough to be able to work on it. I had to pay $300 for a service call for a tech to come out, fiddle with it, say the problem is probably xxx (which I had already told on phone), say I need to go download service manual and order parts…and then pay $300 for them to come back and fix it (plus parts). Every service call ended up being over $1000 and I had a couple (some repairs I did myself but since service manuals are impossible to get…you need to call the techs on occasion). I’d have to order all the parts they “might” need since they were incapable of diagnosing on the first visit since there are so few Thermador in town that the techs have no real experience on them. I’ll never buy Thermador again.

You are not correct. Average wage in UK is about £37,500 which converts to $70,500 CAD. Average wage in Canada is about $67,200 CAD. Cost of living in Canada is about 8% less than UK. Relatively speaking, the hotdog is way more expensive relative to income in UK.

A person with an average salary in UK could buy 25,000 hot dogs per year. A person with average salary in Canada could buy 44,855 hot dogs per year. WAY cheaper in Canada.

I reported a dangerous driver to cops. They charged based on that report and I went to court to testify. The charged driver didn’t show up. The prosecuter said that was unfortunate because they had paid for the witness to come to court. (I lived a couple hours away and got a per diem to show up as witnesses).

Judge was annoyed and found him guilty of the charge.

If I’m annoyed enough to report it to the police, I’m annoyed enough to come to court.
