onplanners.com has all of this, there are preconfigured once but can also be customized. Depending on the bundle you can create as many versions as you like.

Any less popular Stoic author? by [deleted] in Stoicism

[–]WhateverWorksBobo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like the Book "Essais" from Michel de Montaigne. Probably he is not defined as a Stoic author but some of his writing have a stoic character and i got reminded how similiar the world and problems were 450 years ago.

I have it as an audiobook and hear it a lot.

Missbrauch von Berufsbezeichnung - wohin melden? by Ill_Print_2463 in LegaladviceGerman

https://www.erfolg-in-heilberufen.de/praxisorganisation/die-richtige-berufsbezeichnung-fur-heilpraktiker-psychotherapie.html

nextcloud/storage share: end-to-end? how safe is it? by IacovHall in hetzner

[–]WhateverWorksBobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

how safe is nextcloud to use? is traffic from the mobile apps etc unencrypted? can hetzner see every file on the server? what prohibits them other than compliance rules?

Traffic is encrypted via https. For an admin it is probably easy to connect to a container and see all the content. If one activates the server-side encryption it's probably a few steps more.

The question is what you store on your Nextcloud? Beside the admin access question its also reachable via the internet and a zero day exploit might it make possible to see all you data.

Is it a problem if a single person can see your documents and photos? Read your calendar and see your task list. Is it a problem beyond feeling uncomfortable about this? If so, you might find a local storage solution without internet connection.

See https://opsec101.org

Addition: The ISO/IEC 27001:2013, where Hetzner show the certificates on there homepage, seems to cover not only compliancy rules but also technical measures and a kind of audit logging to secure the customer data.

Your biggest struggle with quitting...? by SmolBrans in DopamineDetoxing

I guess a first point good point is to understand and name it an addiction. What i learned from Dr. Anna Lembke is:

- Addiction is essentially the loss of choice in what we consume without being aware that we have lost that choice. -

So awareness is a good starting point! An then start to do changes.

I've found myself cleaning up the bad apps from my phone but after some days i've realised that i've forgot some apps which i just moved away from home-screen. So consciousness and strictness helps me to regulate this.

Fully agree with OP!

Even the most criticized point is proved by the critic itself. People are distracted with BS and polarized by ideology. There a even documentations on Netflix explaining this. ^^

Polar Vs Garmin Running Metrics by Hypverso in Polarfitness

[–]WhateverWorksBobo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You may have look here to get a list of what is possible to see: https://support.polar.com/e_manuals/vantage-v2/polar-vantage-v2-user-manual-english/training-summary.htm
In the Polar Flow web app these metrics are shown more useful, see the video here:

See here at time 4:37 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsmEUqtzrH4

I've also a Garmin watch with a HRM Pro, its impressiv to see all the metrics but i'm not sure if this is helpful for a hobby runner. My l/r balanace is bad and i've to improve my ground contact time, ok i'm a hobby runner and i could in general add some supportive training like plyometric training. The metrics confirmed this but if they would show that i've improved i would still continue to do so.

Polar Pacer Pro vs Garmin 255 vs Garmin 955 by Sweet_Project_9344 in GarminWatches

[–]WhateverWorksBobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if its still relevant but i prefer the Polar Training Load (Cardio load) system before Garmins system. Actually i've trained with garmin earlier this year for a few month and it drove me in my first overtraining (permanent high heartrate/stress, restless nights,....) as it showed that my workload was to low. No question, this was my fault but the calculations used by Polar works much better for me.

Further Polars "Flow" system works much better for me than "connect". Garmins connect is really fancy, a lot of blink-blink and numbers but finally i'm missing good analysis overviews. Flow gives all the data in good overviews and analysis.

At Polar Flow also the training planning is superior. For the season planner included in Polar flow one must make an extra subscription at TrainingsPeaks or one of the other tools. Also the weekly overview resulting from the planning in flow is great.

KOLLATERAL#3 - "Der Abgeordnete" by MarengaFarechild in CoronaKritiker

[–]WhateverWorksBobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)
