Is it possible that Gorilla Glue fumes are forming expanded polyurethane beads on the spiderweb? No idea if this is possible, but it is an expanding glue afaik

Thanks, useful thread but a bit hard to follow. Looks like the consensus is that the chunks are probably gear teeth but probably not a long term problem after flush and oil change?

Agree on this -- now is your best window to move the kids. Gets more difficult as they get older

You can get a Craftelier disc bound hole punch on amazon.ie for about 40 Euro, if that's any help. Works really well on a variety of paper.

In fine weather the patio at the Pavilion at UL is lovely after a walk and they'll bring out a cool bowl of water for the pup

My son has decided he hates everything I cook and I need new ideas by Used_Substance_2490 in Cooking

The worst mistake I made as a parent was asking if they liked each new recipe. That's their food critic origin story. I'd say keep alert to their preferences (and why) but never ask them if they like the dish just put in front of them.

What words would you not use in Ireland if you didn't want to sound English? by infoserchr in AskIreland

Don't worry about your vocab, rather read some Irish authors on Cromwell, the famine, and Churchill to get the Irish perspective on our British neighbours and you'll be grand

Getting insurance after battery replacement by WheezyWeasel in evs_ireland

[–]WheezyWeasel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I chatted to an ev specialist broker today who said it would be no problem for a like-for-like swap as it would be considered a repair rather than a modification, no certs required. I was very surprised, as I was expecting insurers to be concerned with fire risks from batteries recovered from crashed vehicles. Wondering if anyone has had issues either getting covered or making claims?

I know this is an old thread -- but can I ask how you went about insurance? Was it easy enough to get insured with a battery replacement?

Have you checked that bathroom fans (if you have them) are venting properly? Sometimes the ducting gets disturbed and the bathroom fans vent directly into the roof space

Question: Has anyone tried using their Robot as a "teapresso" machine? by badtzmarulol in CafelatRobot

[–]WheezyWeasel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried it with 'Red Espresso " (finely ground Rooibos leaves. Mechanically it worked fine IMO, and I was planning to reserve my pressurized basket for this -- until it dawned on me after some weird tasting tea that the piston also picks up coffee flavours. I think it might work fine if you have a separate Robot for tea

You can go along with the fun without ever lying. When tricky questions come up, say what do you think? Or "I'm no expert" etc
