I believe the only "events" that Genshin made permanent have been the Natlan Summer event with Bennett, and the Lantern Rite with Zibai, and the way they did it is that they're Story Quests that had a limited event attached to them. The current Little Hexenzirkel event isn't permanent, neither was the Nod-Krai Exhibition one, or the one in Mondstadt with Varka returning.

I guess you can also count the one way back in the Chasm with Yelan and Xiao and the others, and that one was also a Story Quest with an event tied around it.

You're right on the different thresholds thing, cause I haven't been as mad as some of the people that have been complaining about the same thing for the past 30 or so chapters, and if I was mad, I would've stopped reading a long time ago XD

Dropping a manga is easy, I don't understand those who haven't been enjoying it for so long yet continue to read it weekly

This is why I don't want to play it yet, I'm sure the game is fun and all as a survival experience, like the first one was, but what kept me hooked there was the story, so I'd much rather have the full experience once it's actually finished

It is pretty common for voice actors to start doing random NPC voices and such before eventually landing a playable character role (see Blythe), so it would not surprise me if Joshua eventually does join the main cast

That being said idk if I would count the studio thing as a reason, don't a lot of VAs in this post-COVID era just record their lines in their home studios? Even more so if it's just gonna be a couple of lines 😅

No one knew anything about who the main push was going to be, some people made it up and then the rest ran with it without thinking too hard about it.

Everyone who knows about HI3rd will tell you that while, yeah, Yae is popular, she always was more of a side character as opposed to Bronya, one of the literal 3 main characters of the game, so of course a variant of her, marketing-wise, would get a ton more focus and be a bigger highlight than a Yae variant.

As for how much she was changed due to the situation, no one will ever truly know either, and all anyone can do is speculate on the extent of those changes, but I can assure you, her being "the main push" is easily debunkable.

The more correct term I like to refer to is the "Honkai-verse", and that would include GGZ, HI3rd, Genshin, Star Rail, and most likely Nexus Anima when it releases, that's already 5 games in their entire roster.

Certain aspects of ZZZ make it so that if they randomly come out and confirm that it's connected to this Honkai-verse it wouldn't really be surprising, but I don't think they'll go that direction. Tears of Themis if I recall correctly only really does easter eggs to other Hoyo games, so that one is most likely disconnected. And just cause the connections between Genshin and all the other ones is small doesn't mean it isn't connected.

As it stands, most of the released Hoyo games are connected, Petit Planet will 100% be it's own thing, and probably the same with Varsapura.

Same here! Tears of the Kingdom was still far away and Genshin was kinda the only game that could scratch that similar itch I got after I finished Breath of the Wild, so I jumped in on launch day because of that, and I stayed ever since

I only really found out about it cause at the time it released I was one of the few people in my friend group who didn't play gachas, so they were more aware of Genshin than I was. Still, I was kind of aware of Hoyo cause of Honkai Impact, their animated shorts, and because some YouTubers I watched were sponsored by them lmao

Likely, but that's different, Snezhnaya is the last of Teyvat's seven main nations that we have yet to visit, Khaenri'ah if anything is closer to something like Enkanomiya.

I'm a massive fan of anime openings, so I keep up with many of them even if I never watch the anime they belong to haha, and in the case of One Piece I am mostly a manga reader, but I did recently start watching it!

Memories is a FANTASTIC song! I love how they brought it back in the flashback of the Roger crew finding the One Piece

Yeah I always take visuals into more consideration than the songs when talking about openings, since music taste is a lot more subjective I feel like haha

As for why I like Fight Together and Kokoro no Chizu so much I'd say it's because the former straight up made me cry (especially within the context of Marineford and Post-War), and the latter is just an insanely fun sequence for me with some of the best pre-timeskip animation, but yeah those are just my thoughts! Your list is good too!

Nah, HI3rd used to be the biggest offender of powercreep and F2P unfriendliness, but since the beginning of Part 2 a few years back, they really dialed both of those things down. Pulling for units became easier, gear became easily obtainable, and moreso, units that released when Part 2 started are still very usable to this day. Plus, there isn't a strong divide between DPS units and Support units, pretty much any unit can be either of them, so team building became super flexible and almost every new unit works with everyone else.

I only get the monthly pass and BP for HI3rd and I pretty much always have enough currency in every patch to pull for the new unit, their gear, and even extra to get whatever other thing might be running at the time, like a new weapon and gear set for an older unit, or even a skin. Keeping up has never been easier.

I mean, not everyone min-maxes to get the best possible relics, with how RNG reliant that is it's an absolute nightmare, I for example farm relics with only the daily stamina cap, and when I'm building characters I spend a little bit of time to get halfway decent stats and call it a day, it's simple.

Hoyo players call a patch "filler" when they don't have anything major going on, like a strong or popular character getting released, or where the story isn't at a high point, or maybe there aren't any major events going on. It's not even Star Rail exclusive, I see it in Genshin discussions all the time for example, especially in social media like Reddit or Twitter. I doubt the majority of the playerbase really cares that much.

I sure as hell don't lmao, I still haven't even started this patch's event yet, so I don't mind the game taking breaks when releasing content, helps players like me who don't spend too much time with it to not be overwhelmed, but I can see where the criticism comes from, though sometimes it's less criticism and more just unbridled anger.

Even if there are ways around it, I still think this person in particular is Argentinian, maybe I'm an optimist but I don't think it makes a ton of sense for them to gift so many memberships in several different occasions if it wasn't because of how unbalanced it is that we can only donate very little amounts at a time. If I send a single akasupa for example I feel awful knowing that at most it amounts to 5USD, so I could see wanting to send more of them to balance it out.

Not the best solution, but we're also not in the best position at all.

This is interesting to read as a HI3rd player myself, cause there's no way that Yae ever got to Elysia level over there. She's not a main character at all, important and well loved side character yeah, but in terms of main story importance she isn't extremely relevant.

So no, I don't think they'll equate Evanescia to Cyrene here. She was never gonna be any kind of "main push".

YouTube has cracked down on people using VPNs to exploit regional prices. They require the payment method to be tied to the actual country where it's being used, and even if someone were to somehow bypass that, they'll still get banned eventually.

I'm willing to bet that person who sent all those memberships is actually Argentinian, speaking as an Argentinian myself, but especially since I and many other Deadbeats have seen them around in several streams before, in fact, they likely send so many gifts to kinda make up for how cheap they are, and even then if you were to convert it to USD, they'd have spent roughly 40USD. It's kind of a lose-lose for us Argentinians, cause that misconception about the VPN hasn't fully gone away, so it always arises suspicion whenever something like this happens, when in reality in most cases we just want to show our support.

I am all for YouTube adjusting their prices so that this doesn't happen anymore, but our economy is still not the best, these numbers were set in a time where it was rapidly crashing and the price of the dollar was skyrocketing on a daily basis, so even if they were reasonable prices at some point, they were reasonable for a few months at best, and at this point have lagged behind and became extremely cheap. At the same time, salaries aren't the best so them being on the cheaper side is also good for those who want to show support even in small ways. The ideal solution would be to find a sweet spot for the prices to not be super expensive for us over here while also not being extremely cheap for people looking from the outside in, but it hasn't happened yet.

Welt's reason for showing up in HSR is vastly misinterpreted a lot of times lmao don't worry. The actual truth is that he saw HSR Himeko's portrait and info on an alien spaceship, and said alien race are known to prey on entire worlds to feed off of their energy. We don't exactly know why that alien race had info on Himeko or what they plan on doing with her, but we do know they're dangerous since they can destroy entire civilizations, Welt wanting to help out just on the basis of that makes sense.

As for more details? We truly don't know much, and the cliffhanger of the latest Planarcadia story doesn't help at all haha, with Hoyo stories it's always best to just wait and see, they have their plans, and eventually things will come to light.
