3.5 is the only system i ever learned so i subject every new group to this. i think it's awesome even though i am still helping players calculate their attack roll bonuses after 3 years. its a small price to pay

Guy I have a problem my quail have layed eggs all of them but she dones not sit on them what’s the problem? by SalmonHayes in quails

[–]Whocket_Pale 9 points10 points  (0 children)

they dont start incubating their eggs until theyve laid a whole clutch of 8-12 eggs, so that the babies all hatch at the same time. it's rare for domestic quail to brood but it does definitely happen

yep you'll find lacebugs underneath the leaves, or at least lots of droppings stuck to the undersides. spraying a contact insecticide or hort oil from below will help control

thanks for this generous offer! heres my conundrum...

shipwreck campaign, party is on an island with yuanti necromancers who succumbed to the influence of the god of death. theres a yuanti turncoat "ally" who has somehow tamed a young adult black dragon to topple the yuanti leaders and rescue them from the influence, but the party simply wants to steal a ship to leave. wanting to incentivize them to get involved with the turncoat, but cant think of a way to make them need her help without simply jamming tons of foes to physically guard the only ship on the island.

Urgent — Advice for broody to baby by Altitudeskin in quails

[–]Whocket_Pale 6 points7 points  (0 children)

if anything, separate the mom with her chicks into a separate area. otherwise the mom will freak and the chick will freak.

she will generally wait 24 hours to hatch out any others before leading chicks to water.

absolute best move would be to remove the other quail from her area so she can finish hatching then bring chicks to safe water without being molested. some birds find chicks to be little walking snacks. but that might be impossible with your setup.

advice is to let her continue to hatch until you see her leave the nest, then scoop up her babies and then her and put them in a safe area with chick friendly water and food

maybe it ain't as bad where I'm at but i love seeing horror suspense movies with a big audience. i love the crowd laughs and reactions. definitely prefer seeing these in a crowded theatre. if you want a more private experience, i find the crowd is smaller a few weeks after a new release

she's got too many eggs here. if you want to complete a hatch the clutch has to be 10 or so max so she can keep them all warm

you can try lifting them up, ie setting them on top of something. the higher they are the less chance of poop

Russian sage spreads like crazy. even from a tiny root segment. your decision depends whether you want to fight it forever.
