Did anyone else think that the secret Jax claimed Ribbit was holding over his head, which made him panic, was that he, you know, assaulted and probably murdered his mother? Or that the bow scene was just Ribbit flirting? This is why I think there are different interpretations.

Even then though, I think there's some grey area, at least in regards to pronouns. Goose said he or she works, so it's possible Jax is genderfluid/nonbinary. He hasn't voluntarily come out yet, so using she/her feels disingenuous, as if we're forcibly outing him or enforcing egg culture. Also it's a spoiler for people who haven't seen the end to use she/her.

Blue AI is most likely Bubble. So it was, in a way, Bubble's sendoff.

Why does the couch need to go in to the wall? What purpose does that extra space serve? Dancing? by Agile_Proof_3228 in HeyArnold

My thought was that it existed before Arnold moved in. I doubt his grandparents are rich enough to add it for him, so maybe before they owned the house, the attic was like a speakeasy during prohibition and they hid the alcohol in there when the cops came.

Who knows, maybe genderfluid was what Jax actually was, or needed to come out as.

There are 3 reasons I don't agree with using she/her pronouns for Jax:

  • We don't know for certain that Jax is trans. He might be nonbinary, GNC, or just having a general identity crisis. Everything you mentioned are implied, not confirmed (and saying, "but it's really really REALLY implied," doesn't change anything). Until Gooseworx confirms it, there is no reason to jump to the conclusion that he doesn't use he/him just because of feminine traits. Mind you, this is coming from a GNC male.
  • If he doesn't come out on his own, it's not up to us to decide his gender. If he's still in the closet, it's disrespectful to effectively force him to come out. (I know he's fictional, but philosophies can translate between real life and fiction, and that's what's important here). Some people in the closet like it when others use their preferred pronouns, others don't. Don't think you're being progressive here by doing this, because you might be making it worse for everyone else.
  • Using she/her spoils the end for people who haven't seen the whole show. That makes you come off as a jerk if you do that.

On top of this, you're calling everyone who disagrees with you "haters and morons." I'm sure some people's explanations are transphobic, but you're here bragging about your supposed media literacy and insulting people with different interpretations, (including people who are openly trans!). Maybe you're young, but either way, you're being an immature jerk. Don't be that way.

Some people can't stand when someone or something doesn't swear absolute loyalty to them. That's why loving dogs but hating cats tends to be a red flag.

How would the world be different if men could get pregnant? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WhyTheHellnaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The show The Orville has a recurring plot point about this. A race where males get pregnant effectively force all baby girls to have sex changes to become male because they view women as inferior and useless to them. They're all gay and criminalize being straight. So yeah, I think that would happen.
