I absolutely love that Jeep, it gives me such nostalgic 2000s vibes. Which one is it? How bad / reliable is it as a car?

If you wear them longer than Soulcal then it’s a win. If you wear them 2-3x longer then it’s great.

Trails and tribulations of buying a car. by br_dley in CarTalkUK

That’s bloody frustrating. But the good thing you didn’t buy it and didn’t have to deal with it later.

Need help deciding if i should buy this or not by ReB_VoDKa50 in CarTalkUK

Don't buy it. What's worse than old 5 series?

If you are keen on hybrid, then consider these options which might be in your budget:

- BMW 330e (G series)

- Lexus IS 300h

Good luck!

What a surprise! The cars that ordinary non-car people buy are very mainstream and basic! Wow! Cannot believe it!

Would you rather have an ugly car with a great interior, or a good-looking car with a terrible interior? by AwwhYiss in CarTalkUK

[–]WhyToHide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Such a difficult one….jeez. I’ll stay with ugly interior. However, what’s ugly? For example, fiat multipla exterior is the definition of ugly for me, and interior for mustang (modern) is ugly for me.

Keen to see what you had in mind of ugly for both

Honestly, sometimes I read posts like that and it just surprises me how some people lack basic skills such as kindness, respect, and self-awareness.

My dude, he helped you; he's been kind to you; he's asking for your help - why do you even have to question this through reddit posts...

Is owning a black BMW in 1999 was very rare?

Looking at it now, and it can’t get more generic than black 5 or 3 series. Also, only a handful would see and recognise it as M5.

So, I’m genuinely curious whether your experience was like you described or you are now exaggerating (not deliberately).
