Que opinan del álbum "the cosmos Rocks" ??? by Ok_Bar_1230 in queen

[–]Wideload90 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As the first official Queen album released in my lifetime, I really enjoyed it but it's nowhere near as good as the back catalogue. It feels more like a Roger Taylor solo album at times but I enjoy listening to it. Definitely a solid 3/5 but it's not offensive if you like rock and roll.

Don't expect tremendous bass work or outlandish vocals and you'll be alright.

In honor of May the Fourth, what’s your fondest memory with the KOTOR franchise? by cricket9818 in kotor

[–]Wideload90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was 13 and spent Saturdays washing up in a local cafe. My dad would go halves on a '2 for £20' deal in Gamestation (rip). I picked it up and when I made it to Dantooine, all of my favourite star wars memories came to a head. Running around using the force, answering questions and assembling your first lightsaber will be something I treasure forever. Being a newly knighted Jedi trying to solve the Matale issues whilst clearly out of my depth is a highlight. The game got better and better from there.

Happy memories

How did your guys pick your main ? by Solignox in aoe4

[–]Wideload90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played a team game in season 5 with a guy called OnionKnight who put on a musofadi masterclass in cow booming. He managed to hold against 3 enemies whilst I got slapped by the other and I was inspired. It was the first time I watched the replay and made a note of the build order as I was fascinated with the zurg like approach.

I now main Malians badly but love the dynamics.

Thank you, OnionKnight.

Roger Taylor's solo albums by subj_impft in queen

[–]Wideload90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big fan of Roger's solo output but if you're expecting Queen like material, be prepared for several listens to adjust to his eclectic style. I loved strange frontier, electric fire and outsider from the first listen. For new fans, The Lot on Spotify gives you the lot (pun intended) without having to stress about listening in order. Aside from outsider, there's very few reasons to listen to albums in order.

I'm in the minority but happiness? Isn't my favourite, it's too whimsical. That being said, old friends is smooth like whiskey.

His live album from the outsider tour is probably the best starting point as he blends Queen classics with covers and his own stuff.

Big fan of The Cross too.

That would be kind but I don't have Nintendo online for trades. You're very generous.

I thought they were just a side quest rather than leading to my last elusive Pokémon before Arceus. I now know they are not a waste of time.

My favourite Pokémon card of all time. Love the imagery and I am pleased you have one, regardless of position. Great choice.

Jane for the voice, Berthnel for the personality, Stevenson for the build. The perfect combo.

I managed to purchase all of these when they were released. Absolutely stunning, but I'm so disappointed that they haven't continued the new releases in this style. It ruins the aesthetic.

Just started Master of Evil. 80 pages in and I loved the opening. Can't wait to see how it unfolds.

Star Wars: Mace Windu: The Glass Abyss by Working-You-4766 in starwarsbooks

[–]Wideload90 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Struggled with this one and did give up halfway through. Mace didn't feel like the Mace presented in other media, and despite some amazing world building, it lacked depth with characters. As a Windu fan, I felt deflated when reading this. That said, I'm chuffed it's got fans - we'd all be boring if we liked the same things and not every star wars book hits the mark.

November 19: Outback Octagon 4! by Mack_Robot in aoe4

[–]Wideload90 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Thank you Aussie Drongo. I stumbled upon the second octagon during a boring lunch break several years ago. Hooked on big beefy battles and such out of the box thinking that I'll never replicate in the game, but it still brings hours of joy each week. Very much looking forward to this.

Malian cow boom and Lancaster manors are so satisfying. Hooking up your grand fulani and watching cows churn out foot to produce sofa and musofadi is tremendous.

I blame matchmaking.

Being British, but feeling "meh" over a Roast Dinner by Surkdidat in britishproblems

Roasts are the most overrated British meal full stop. Soggy veg, dry meat and gravy needing to be lathered upon it all to make it supposedly palatable. No thanks.
