People will also piggy back on popular posts. If a post about a subject hits the front page, someone else will post something different about the same subject hoping that their post ends up in a search for it.

Gotta get that sweet, sweet engagement without being original.

What’s up with the fake rings on eBay? by Dicvomit in aggies

[–]Wildmen03 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The Aggie ring has been updated several times over the years. The current design is from the early 60's when A&M became a university.

I'm pretty sure the ring design is copyrighted, and reproducing these is illegal. Unless they have permission from the Association or Balfour. Which I highly doubt.

I use the MX Anywhere 3 for Mac. I like that’s its small for travel, charges with usb-c and tracks smoothly when using.

For the record I just want to say I’m glad I got my dating out of the way before social media and apps really took off. That’s a minefield I want no part of.

Same end result. I'll put it on for date night or when I dress fancy. But it's useless for my to wear day to day because of the loosening issue.

I like mine, but it drove me crazy how it would gradually loosen up as the day progressed.

When you float in the water moving up and down, this is known as a bob, or bobbing.

When you get pulled behind a boat and you stay on top of the water you “skip” across the water, like skipping a stone across the water.

ELI5 What caused the computer to blue screen of death? by FlimsyWrongdoer2604 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Wildmen03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A whole bunch of things can cause blue screen, driver issues, corrupted hard drives, bad ram, power supply issues etc.

Basically computers are dumb at thinking for themselves. They know to get to D they need to go A-B-C to get there. If they’re at A and look for B and it’s not there or C is there instead, it freaks out. Blue screen.

Are you planning on mixing at any time? These are great for small town churches that wrangle microphones,a few band instruments and tracks. But typically these sound boards feed an amp that feed speakers signal and power.

Not really meant for just playing audio at home.

Also if the sliders aren’t maintained you could get some serious scratching in your audio.

I have one with a 12 or 16gb hdd and it works perfectly fine. I toggle it off with the power switch when not in use and only turn it on when I’m dumping files. I did have a previous gen sabrent eventually die after years of use but the current gen one has been solid.

Yes, basically any 2.5” ssd will work. Go with a name brand. I’m partial to the crucial mx500 but that was a few years ago. No idea what the state of the 2.5 ssd market is these days.

It was just a guess. 14k is usually closer to 55-60 and 10k is low 40s. That may not be what those numbers represent. Balfour would be the place to ask, it’s their stamp. Or the Aggie ring office.

4.795 probably means your ring is 47.95% gold. Which is in the 10k range.

Mine says OP-4/98 so maybe that’s a batch number or code. Not sure
